GSY Video PS5

It took us long enough but here is finally our PlayStation 5 coverage of Black Myth: Wukong in all graphics modes. Sadly, none of them are satisfactory in our opinion, mainly because of unsteady frame rates and, in some of them, disappointing image quality. Obviously, with a game that demanding, it's not surprising to see compromises on a console, but we believe there should at least be an option to cap the framerate at 30 in Quality mode (provided the game is properly frame paced). A 40 Hertz mode would also be a welcome addition instead of the current Balanced mode, but something should also be done to image quality to make it more appealing. The Performance mode isn't steady enough, which again is understandable to some extent with all the game is trying to do, but we also hope there is a way to improve image quality a bit. All this is all the more frustrating as the game is very engaging, combat is satisfying and the game world is exciting. Level design is a bit of a letdown though, but this is partly due to the use of awkward invisible walls - on a side note, it's also very annoying to see an enemy can push the hero over the edge of a cliff while it's impossible for to jump to his death on purpose, letting the player believe it's a safe spot to fight. Other than that, it's really a game we'd like to explore more, with improved performance and image rendering ideally.

With all the games which have come out since Star Wars Outlaws and the coverage we've had to take care of, we haven't been able to make good use of the two codes Game Science kindly sent us when Black Myth: Wukong launched on August 20. It's also true we ere unavailable for some time because of the summer holidays, and for that, we apologize. We'll have some PlayStation 5 coverage as soon as possible but for now, we'll start with the PC version on GeForce NOW Ultimate. We might make another one with optimized settings if we can find the time. On a side note, it's crazy to think that the game has sold 18 million copies so far. Hats off!

We can always count on Game Science to get downloadable versions of their videos so you'll be happy to know that the CGI trailer of Black Myth: Wukong released during Summer Game Fest is now available to download in high quality on Gamersyde. The game will be available on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 20 but the Xbox versions have been delayed because of optimisation issues on Series S.

Black Myth: Wukong was granted a brand new trailer recently and as usual, Game Science kindly provided us with a downloadable version of the video so we could share it with you. Let us remind you that the game will come out on August 20 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Black Myth: Wukong was granted a brand new trailer during the Game Awards and we now know when the game is due. The first good news is that it will be available as soon as August 20 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The second one is that the dev team sent us a downloadable version of the trailer.

Usually, when we get a hold of a video in better quality, we tend to update the latest article concerning the game and add a few words to let people know about it. Black Myth: Wukong deserves better though as we wouldn't want those of you who do care about image quality to miss the possibility to download this version if the trailer the studio had the kindness to send us so quickly. Spread the word on the Internet then, just in case others like you lurk somewhere else.

Just what we needed, another Black Myth: Wukong trailer to blow us away. Not only does the game runs on Unreal Engine 5 (and it shows) but it also makes great use of NVIDIA's DLSS. Check out the following 12-minute-or-so video in it's YouTube version (we'll try to get it in the best possible quality just like the others but for now that's all we have).

Black Myth: Wukong doesn't cease to impress us and the latest trailer released for the Chinese New Year makes us even more eager to play the game. Once again, we have to thank the developers for sending us the HQ version of the video so we can share it with you.

We may not know much about Black Myth: Wukong yet, but the game still impressed everyone, including some pretty big names in the industry, thanks to a very impressive first trailer released a few weeks back. It wasn't easy to find some contact information on Game Science's website as it's in full Chinese but we were so eager to know if we could have access to the HQ version of the video that we clicked on about everything until we found the proper link. Long story short, the dev team was kind enough to reply and send us the trailer so we can share it with you. We're very grateful since, as far as we know, it's the first time it's been available outside of YouTube. If you have missed it when it came out, you have no excuse now. Enjoy!
