Once again, we have decided to give you the opportunity to catch up on what you may have missed on Gamersyde in the past few weeks. This should keep you a bit busy in December, which is a good thing considering not much is going to happen release-wise. Now is the time to catch one's breath to be ready for the avalanche of AAA titles to come in 2012.

As promised, here are a bunch of videos of the Xbox 360 version of Need For Speed: The Run. As you will see, it does not look as sharp as the PC version but the visuals are nonetheless pretty good when you don't pay too much attention to pop-up issues and poor textures. That being said, the problem of the short length of the "story" mode and its lame plot is still there. So even though there is a bit of fun playing The Run, you definitely should go for Hot Pursuit of you need your share of high speed driving.

Developed by Black Box, Need For Speed: The Run was released in North America yesterday and will be officially available in Europe tomorrow. Until we receive a copy of the 360 version of the game, we are proposing you some PC footage in 1080p and 30 fps (no matter what the video description says). Why 30 fps you might ask? Well, mainly because the game is locked at this framerate on PC too, making it a simple port with only better resolution and V-sync to best its console counterpart. Here are a bunch of videos of the extremely short (but nonetheless pretty fun) single player mode so you know what to expect. Despite the many challenges available and its online mode, it is hard to recommend the game at full price because of its ridiculously short length. A rental might be more indicated, if that's even possible where you live that is.

Electronic Arts has published this launch trailer of Need For Speed: The Run. The game is now available in NA and will be released on Thursday 17th November across Europe.

Need For Speed: The Run will be released next month and Electronic Arts just sent us this whole new 1080p trailer of the game. We will of course post our own gameplay footage as soon as we get our copy.

As planned, the Need For Speed: The Run demo was released this morning on Xbox Live, including the two tracks shown in Cologne two months ago. You will have to forgive my poor driving on both videos but I barely had time to have lunch to be able to get you some footage this early. The second video will follow as soon as possible.
