PC players have been waiting for the release of NieR: Automata for 2 weeks, and apparently, the wait may not have been worth it. The PC port of the game seems to suffer from several issues that are quite unacceptable in such a game. To begin with, activating Vsync results in locking the framerate at 30 fps in gameplay sequences, at least on our rig. The only workaround we have found is to play in borderless window mode, which wouldn't be a problem if such a display was indeed available in the game. We then had to find some outside help, with this dedicated program. Alas, even after doing all that, the game still doesn't feel very smooth, despite what our FPS counter keeps saying, which makes the whole experience a little unpleasant to say the least. A few other problems have also been mentioned on the Internet, like the 30 fps cutscenes, which caused the game to get mixed reviews on Steam yesterday - it has improved since then though.
