When you think of Unreal Engine enviroments, the first things that comes to mind are corridors and more or less medium sized "rooms". And it's certainly because of this perception, and just to prove how wrong it is, that Epic released this amazing looking video showing the open world capability of Unreal Engine 4.

Now that people can buy the licence for Epic's Unreal Engine 4, the tech demos available with their new engine have popped up on the web thanks to the magic of NeoGaf[/url]. Since we managed to capture properly the Effects demo, here it is in 60 fps Gamersyde quality. Let us just remind you that the demo is quite old now as it was made back in 2012, so we can expect the engine to be even more impressive today. That being said, this should give you a pretty good idea as to what to expect for the new generation of games.

Unreal Engine 4 has been a bit forgotten lately, but Epic certainly reminded everyone of its existence with a rather amazing annoucement: The engine now costs $19 a month, with 5% of the game's revenue, and it even comes with the whole source code of the engine! Impressive stuff, directly aimed at Unity and Cryengine's new pricing. And to prove how good the engine is, here is a new trailer!

Epic released a new developer diary about the visual effects of their last real-time demo: Infiltrator.

After delivering one of the most commonly used engines on 360 and PS3, Epic Games is working hard on Unreal Engine 4 and it's shaping up well, as shown in this new presentation video.

During Game Developers Conference, Epic Games has also released the full Elemental real-time demo, running on Paystation 4, that you can get it here now.

Here's the latest real-time demo of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4. Entitled Infiltrator, it runs on a single GeForce GTX 680.
