When Epic announced that Unreal Engine 4 has gone free, a sizzle reel video was shared as well, here is it.
Note: the video also shows games using UE3.
I kinda feel like they shouldn't feature like 2 year old games in this, and I REALLY feel like they shouldn't feature tech demos that will never see the hard drive of a typical user's PC.
When ever UE4 is brought up, people ask - so when are the games coming? UE4 is a "tool" for making games. To actually "make" a game it takes people with talent and funding. UE4 was made available free so that people can "learn" the program as well as use it. Learning a game making program is not something that can be done within months. Games can still take years in the making, depending on graphics and content.
The biggest news yet though has got to be UE4 going free. At least people can start learning it so that when they're ready, they can make a game. Before you needed money just to learn it.
I would have these graphics in a game, even if the frame rate is 2.3fps, with the occasional freeze screen. I would have the ending for the game behind a $30 DLC pay wall. I would have 40 hours of cut scenes, at the intro. My game would be...(((GLORIOUS)))

You're right, I believe we will only see games utilizing a lot of Unreal Engine 4's potential around 3-5 years from now. However, a lot of the games look great already.
