To our surpise, EA sent us a 5 GB video of Anthem that we can now share with you all. Sadly, there are French subtiles in this version, but we'll try to find one without them as soon as possible. It's also "only" 1080p, but it's still better than the usual "nothing" :) Until then, enjoy the commented footage!

But since it's a coop looter shooter people can't really go in expecting Mass Effect / DAO level of storytelling, it's just not possible without going full single player.
For me it looks fantastic. But I hope it doesn't become a grindfest and there are distinct areas (not all jungle style). If EA gives them enough time to really flesh it out, this could be a winner.
Did this run on PC or X1X? It looks really sharp.
Case in point, this past weekend was TennoCon 2018, where Digital Extremes showed a lot of new and great content coming in the near future, but hardly any Gaming site posted the news.
As for Anthem, it looks very good, though this is just a slice of combat and these Javelins are only at level 30, with one at level 1, and only 1 legendary weapon in at least 2 of them, so they don't have all the abilities unlocked and all the best gear.
Still, I found the boss fight to be a very "bullet sponge fest", even at the end when the Colossus Javelin used its special ability, it only dealt around the same amount of damage as the Colossus' Rocket Launch Barrage.
Perhaps the boss has so much health because as you level up and get more powerful, they don't want you to destroy it too fast, but I'm not a fan of "bullet sponge" enemies/bosses. There's still time to do a lot of balancing and hopefully they reach a good balance between challenge and the time it takes to kill enemies/bosses.
Also, for a Online game that's only 7 months away from release, BioWare has shown very, very little of it. Which certainly doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, since they did the same with Mass Effect: Andromeda and everyone knows how that turned out. Cautiously optimistic - more cautious than optimistic.
