GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

After Mass Effect: Andromeda yesterday, we wanted to stay in Canada in little longer with the PC version of Anthem in HDR. We all remember the thrill of the game's reveal back at E3 2017 but none of us has forgotten the disappointment that its launch was a few years later. Word on the street is that Bioware is working hard on a revamped version of their game but it probably will take some time if it's true. Let's hope its return will be more like that of No Man's Sky than Fallout 76...

After the PC version of Anthem, here are now two 4K videos captured on Xbox One X.

Second day of our PC coverage of Anthem (we're hoping to receive an Xbox One version of the game later) with 3 more videos showing some of the early missions/contracts. Gameplay is undeniably fun with traversal mechanics that work very well with the level design, but there are still some odd choices in the way the game design has been been (or the menus have been made). For now, we're having a pretty good time playing Bioware's new title, but it still remains to be seen if it will manage to keep players interested in the long run. As for us, we hope the structure of the missions will vary a bit more when we progress into the game, and that the (gorgeous) environments will also manage to surprise us until the end.

Anthem is available to all those who have subscribed to EA Access, so we finally put our money down to try the game ourselves. Since Gamersyde has never been high profile enough to be on EA's safe list for early reviews, we didn't have much of a choice if we wanted to be able to share videos before everyone starts playing the game. The following footage was recorded in borderless mode with ultra settings. Our RTX 2080 Ti still struggles a bit to maintain a steady framerate, but it's not too bad considering the resolution and all the effects on screen.

The time has almost come for Bioware's Anthem to release, after several gameplay videos and beta phases, here is the launch trailer to hype you up before February 22.

The second part of the gameplay video series for Anthem has been release by EA and it shows javelin personalizationn, the game's expanding world, endgame content while Game Director Jonathan Warner also talks about contracts and strongholds.

The Anthem VIP demo has just ended and if everything was not perfect, especially during the first hours when the connection was literally impossible, we still took the time to capture the game on Xbox One X. You can watch Fort Tarsis and some exploration in 4K, and a coop gameplay video in 1080p.

Bioware released a few days ago the first part of a video series focused on the gameplay of Anthem. The first part tackles the story, javelins, progression and, customization. It's now here in good quuality on Gamersyde. The VIP demo will debut January 25 while the game itself will launch next month.

To our surpise, EA sent us a 5 GB video of Anthem that we can now share with you all. Sadly, there are French subtiles in this version, but we'll try to find one without them as soon as possible. It's also "only" 1080p, but it's still better than the usual "nothing" :) Until then, enjoy the commented footage!

Anthem is certainly the most awe inspiring title of Microsoft's press conference visually (with Ori 2 maybe). So it was logical it would be our top priority to encode out of our brand new 4K capture hardware. Enjoy!
