Video Xbox 360 PS3

I called this my game of the show at TGS back in September of 2010, so as you can imagine I've been dying to get my hands on Child of Eden. In Japan we still don't have a launch date, so like REZ before it I had to import it. In the video show shown the Kinect is used through-out, you can use the controller but using Kinect just gives the player an experience that they've never felt, a feeling of conducting an orchestra.
Enjoy the videos.
Update: 2 new videos added, Matrix, Evolution.

lies, crap games tend to attract crap control solutions. Great games like this tend to complement with great controls.

I just Hope Project Draco can be as good and make me bite, but I doubt it.

Games like these need to be mentioned when they are talking about motion controlled games. Not crappy games like they show off today.

indeed.
All they need to say is "in addition to this crap we're shoveling onto your wallets, we also have stuff that's fun to play"

Mizuguchi is smart, he realized right away that the one thing the kinect could be great for as a controller is rail shooters, especially a spiritual successor to the greatest rail shooter ever made, also his own creation.

If you introduce a regular game world with characters on foot like that awful Star Wars abomination or Fable rail nonsense it quickly falls apart and feels restrictive instead of liberating or revolutionary.

it's a lot like rez (obvious i know) but without the cool environmental/avatar evolution. i'd honestly find it hard to justify spending the RRP on this tbh. seems a PSN/XBLA game would be more fitting? kinda like flower on PSN. was the game good? yes, would i have paid 40 quid for it? no. and that's the case here too for me. does look pretty good, but i'd have been more inclined to actually buy it if it was a reasonably priced downloadable title.

i'll either rent it or pick it up cheap on PS3 whenever it's released, since i have a feeling 3D will benefit the experience a lot.

The only thing that's more sad is that ^this^ promotes game developers to be forced to make more unoriginal games by publishers who aren't up for taking creative risks. A real shame because it means that genres will continue to be limited.

Very similar to Rez, but we knew that ofcourse. Worked brilliantly with kinect, and it feels like the game was designed with that controller in mind. One of the few kinect games where potentially can look like a maestro while playing, as demonstrated by Michuguzhi.
