Deep Silver reveals some screenshots for a new location of Dead Island: Riptide, the town of Henderson.


The town of Henderson is one of the new locations in Dead Island: Riptide. Henderson is situated on the island of Palanai in the once beautiful Banoi archipelago. Palanai caters to ultra-wealthy yacht owners and eco-tourists looking to stay nearby to the island’s untouched jungle. Palanai’s center is the luxurious town of Henderson that has grown into a Mediterranean-looking port town.

After a monsoon has laid waste the Banoi archipelago the city lies partially flooded and its abandoned buildings are quickly falling into disrepair. The team of heroes will have to find high ground in order to steer clear of the waters, where unknown threats lurk beneath the deceptively calm surface.

I was watching The Walking Dead last night on AMC, and I must say that I have a whole different perspective of zombies. I'd rather see a ghost. I can't understand how The Walking Dead videogame out done Capcom at it's own game. Zombies are scary again. I haven't played the first Dead Island game, but if it's scary, I may give it a try.

1st game was alot of fun with friends. Did not deserve the poor reviews it got.

Completely agree. Really underrated game imo. Combat and physics were amazing, as was the pacing. As much as I loved the original though, I just don't see this as a sequel. Same characters, essentially same setting, this should be DLC, not a full priced sequel.

Anyone know what the big change is other than a slightly different island and a couple new characters?

The first game looked like somebody smeared peanut butter across the screen and forgot to clean up after themselves.
Hopefully the same can't be said about the sequel.

The game was busted as fuck. The ideas were some of my favorites a game has tried to pull off, but execution and polish was incredibly hard to find in that game.
This game isn't really a sequel, more of a stand alone expansion. Which is not what the game needs to boost it past the success the last game got, and certainly not better critical reception.
