GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

Our friend BenBuja contacted us to share a new superb video and this time it's the turn of Grand Theft Auto V to deserve his attention. After all the footage we've been showing in the past few days, this will once again prove the amount of work Rockstar Games put in creating such an incredibly detailed world. We're very grateful BenBuja sent us the video and we hope you'll enjoy what the Director mode has allowed him to do. As a reminder, you can follow him right here at this address.

I could be wrong and correct me if so, but I think these GTA5 videos created in game might be a little misleading. I have not created my own yet, but as I was checking out the option to do so I was told in game that while creating videos the software re-renders everything completely maxed out and probably with some extras you don't see in the game itself. Kinda like photo mode in other games, except with video. Just thought I'd save a few people some tears that don't have the PC version and watch these and think this is what they are missing out on in actual game play.

To be honest: Whenever I play an open world game, I'm usually not focused on trash cans, stop signs, weeds, awnings, mail boxes, window planters, pedestrians I've just ran over... I'm usually focused on the gameplay that is directly affecting me at that moment. Like, trying to escape something that game didn't like.

The beauty of GTA V is that it runs better than GTA IV on the same hardware. That's beautiful.

You know, that's exactly what I have on my PC. I don't see any improvements. Just good perspectives. Water, reflections, vegetation, photorealistic buildings and places and all the rest of it are same as in the very game. I'd even say that some of these things are out of date for today.

So much pop-in and flickering going.
There are some things that look quite nice, but it's so very clear often, that this is verymuch a last-gen game, despite the attention to detail and quality of crafting.

I know it's a big open world game but I can't say I'm impressed by the graphics. GTA IV with mods looks much better. Hopefully, plenty of photorealistic texture mods will be made before I buy this game in 2-3 years.

lol at people not being impressed. I mean really? What games are there that look more impressive with such a huge and dynamic world?

Where do these high standards come from when this is easily one of the best looking games ever made?

That's not the beasuty of GTA V, it's the ugliness of GTA IV :P

Actually started playing GTA V last night. Surprised to say this but i'm actually enjoying it. First time saying that since GTA 1 on the PC.

Not impressed with how much better it looks over console...not generally not impressed with how much detail is in the game. I think most that waited so long for the PC version expected it to blow the other versions out of the water...when it kinda just offered a little splash. It's a console game at the end of the day...a 2 year old one at that.

I 100% agree, ive got the ps4 version and ive played the pc version on my friends pc running 2 gtx 980`s and to say with all the money his pc cost him you deffo do not see it in the games graphics when comparing it with a console I got for £299.

Also I didn't really see any massive improvement with 30fps to 60fps I suppose you only see the difference if viewed side by side or directly after each other either way for me there is not enough to get me to buy a pc rig, I don't do rpg games either also for some reason there is a big lack of pc games in the vein of infamous or 3rd person adventure games, specially ones with powers etc.

I don't think it helps that GTA really is more cartoon like than realistic in looks, it seems to be a very odd mash up of real modern looking buildings but then throwing in not so good looking characters.

As much as I don't care for GTA I have to agree that it looks amazing and the only open world game that might look better in the near future is The Witcher 3.

Meh. I could do better if I had better hardware. Mostly it was featuring Franklin and Michael walking, and they were a real eyesore, drawing attention away from the scene. It should've focused on locations more, their variety, npc's animations (while not making them the center of a shot), animals, beautiful spots, et cetera.

Talk is cheap. You can render the video in higher settings than your PC can support ,it doesn't matter go ahead and make that video.

You do understand I wouldn't be able to see what it'll actually look like before I rendered it, unable to work with grass, postfx like better godrays, lens flare, light reflections etc.? Makes kinda hard for sniping good scenes, don't you think? And I can't even control DoF in editor if my settings are not high. I do understand that I have nothing to support my claim, but it's not my fault I was born into third-world country (where a decent PC costs 4 average monthly salaries) unlike you rich kids.

Even so, your comment was as disrecpectful as it was useless. It'so easy to claim you can do better and then explain you can't.

I might be a little biased as i have probably over 400 hours on the Ps3 and Ps4 versions but i have been extremely impressed as far as presentation and functionality goes for this version. the difference in quality from earlier versions is huge! the game feels much more natural on a PC than it does on controller, even the driving. if you can max it out and play at a higher resolution that 1080p it looks phenomenal. not to mention the mod support we will see in the coming months (im hoping for a DayZ knock off)

no one expected a revolutionary experience, and they were not advertising it as such. people expected a stable experience with great potential for future improvement and that is exactly what they delivered.

if anything, you have to at least give them credit for releasing a PC title that runs almost perfectly at launch. not many games do that lately.

Correct. Playing it at 4k/60fps with very high settings and it blows everything else there is out of the water. Simply stunning, graphics and performance. It's inferior hardware that does not do the game justice, low end pc's and consoles.

Not many do that lately regardless of it being the PC version or not. Thank god they gave us a generous 500GB harddrive...
