Theres gonna be the usual flood of haters towards "another" NFS game but...this actually looks to be pretty damn good. Solid framerate though please this time around...thats all i ask :)

They finally went towards a more realistic color scheme and lighting. Looks extremely nice imo; Turn10 is going to have to step up their game in the graphics department.

According to the preview on IGN and Computerandvideogames.com the game runs at a solid 60FPS. Sounds very impressive.

The graphics look like they might even rival Gran Tourismo and there is 6months for Need4Speed is released. Very impressive.

Looks nice...hopefully NFS can have a paradigm shift away from being a perennially weak franchise and be born again as something worthwhile, after the low point of the last game the only possible way is up really...

Screens look nice. Im not getting my hopes up, maybe then EA will surprise. They haven't been making good NFS games lately.

The way I read it they only say that the framerate never droped in their play time. Nothing about 60FPS.

Anyway their statement about handling sounds promising. I just hope that in the end it does not feel like GRID .

Looking good I hope the new EA stays on track and revives NFS in a meaningful way.

Here - http://computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=20...
"Car models, track sides and vehicle interiors are awash with levels of detail most genre entries simply can't afford. Shift's even pushing out some visual techniques such as detailed soft shadows, full-screen anti-aliasing and a rock-solid 60fps framerate."

"Shift"? Really? Can't tell what the focus is supposed to be, but I do appreciate seeing some GT cars

Looks good graphically. Right up there with GRID. I wouldn't put it in GT territory, but very good. Models look good. Lighting is pretty good, not as good as GT. Hopefully gameplay is tons better than NFS in the recent past. NFS hasn't offered me anything compelling enough to purchase in years... but when will we hear from Forza 3?

If the game isnt like the glitchy NFS Prostreet on PC im in. I cant believe that I couldnt run a stable framerate with 4 gigs ram, 2.8 ghz core duo and an 8800gt at even low settings >.>

Don't forget it's in developement at Criterion Games... ;) So it might really be possible that this NFS could actually be a pretty good one.

I think it looks excellent! The contrast in colors and lighting is extremely nice. That's what a lot of racers lack... they always have a bland, gray road with very little contrast, but this looks great.

It reminds me a lot of Project Gotham, but I'm not gonna complain. I'm waiting for somebody to point out that in the second picture there's blur everywhere and then the car in the distance is crystal clear lol. Not like I care, but I figured I would beat somebody to the punch haha.

I like freedom like in Burnout Paradise, where you chose your path towards the destination...

Bullshots, surely? Check out the mirrored textures on pics 1 and 6. It just looks plain ATM. More needs to be done - and i've heard little about how the cars will handle...

It looks pretty good, pretty much what I'd expect from a PGR5 if it'd be released at the same time. Have to see it in motion though.

As for the gameplay, I fear the worst. The previous 3/4 NFS games were complete disasters. Needless to say, I'm being very cautious with optimism.

I can't wait to play this. I haven't played the NFS games much after the Porsche one but this seems interesting. What I understood it's track based which is just awesome. I am so glad it's not free roam.

Looks like PGR with better looking trees.

Now please fix all issues that messed up all NFSs since NFS:HP!

P.S. Please EA, close the drivers visors. The faces look like dickshittwins
