Incoming second Assassin's Creed 2 DLC

After a very disappointing - understatement - first DLC, Ubisoft is about to release Bonfire of the Vanities, the last extension of Assassin's Creed 2. This second DLC will allow the player to discover a whole area of Florence that was locked in the original game, which some of you will certainly find very convenient. Will it be worth the price this time? Well, I guess we will find out soon enough as it is planned for release on February 18.

It's so nice to know that both DLCs are included in the PC release without additional cost. :)

Wait, so it's on the game disc and all the DLC does is unlock it?!

No it's not on the disc. It's a ~1GB download.

I finished the first DLC in about an hour. I was not happy.

I really wish parts of games were't cut out so they can be added as DLC. Yes I know it makes them money but AC is a game I love but I can't afford to pay ontop of the £40 I paid for the game, to play cut out chapters lol. Just a shame really.. I guess ill watch video's of it instead :P

Do you really think you'd see this content in the game if DLC didn't exist?

I very much doubt it. Most developers legitimately want to make new content, and often plan what they'd like to do far in advance. Especially for popular titles like AC2. Time and money restrictions often mean that alot of concepts are cut from games. With DLC, development of these concepts can continue, post-release.
