Old-gen is still (barely) alive and gets a few new interesting from time to time. Outrun 2 Coast to Coast is one of them, even if it is one of those games that you either love or hate. Thankfully I've always loved the Outrun series so I enjoyed playing this new episode a lot. Compared to Outrun 2, this new game has much more content, be it either tracks or game modes, and should last longer than the 2-3 hours it took me before getting bored last year. A game I personally recommend, but be sure to give it a try first!

The video is running at 60 fps, and as with all racing games is very difficult to compress with a good quality. I've had to make more cuts than usual to keep the file from being *way* too big. I've also had a lot of technical issues with this capture, and in the end had to play in a tiny window on my PC instead of on my TV, so I do not play as well as I wanted to. Yes, it's possible for me to play even worse than usual.

Admittedly I haven't checked the video out yet so the answer may lie buried within the confines of the actual -> FILE <-, BUT, if nothing else for social interaction (on the level the net can provide such a thing) I'm asking you, dear Blim. The load times of last year's edition of Outrun 2 were a bit on the up-miffing side and I'm wondering if this one has those narrowed down a wee bit. Challenges were tons of fun in Outrun 2, restarting them wasn't so much.

The load times are very acceptable now. Much better than last year as far as I remember.

I don't think the Xbox is dead yet. It will probably pop it's clogs when the PS2 and GC are dead. God rest this consoles soul.
I remeber playing outrun years ago, it never did grow on me. Hopefully this'll be added to the BC list so i can play it relativly cheaply.

Is this video as much CPU demanding as Ninja Gaiden video? I wasn't able to play the latter on my PC ;)

Once upon a time every gamer was on the edge of his/her seat at the mere mention of a Sega game (not to mention a classic like Outrun)
grrrr....i'm going to bed to dream of ''Daytona 360 Full Circle'' (just make the cheque out to Roxwell).

Looks like they fixed the (rare) frame rate drops from OutRun2 as well! *thumbsup*
Well, not so much "rare" as isolated; like on that curve along the beach when the city comes into view...
I remember a big, albeit brief, drop in frame rate there.
Didn't see it here :)
