First 10 minutes PC Xbox 360 PS3

Dead Space 3 has arrived, after months of waiting, we are finally going to find out if Visceral stayed true to the franchise. After playing the first 5 hours of the game in hard mode - and completing the first 7 chapters -, we can say that the game is a lot more faithful to the first episode than we thought it would be. Some will paradoxically bitch about the feeling of deja vu, but at least you'll get your share of dark corridors and low gravity sequences - something many feared would not make it to the final game after months of snowy media. Only when reaching chapter 8 will you discover Tau Volantis for a welcome change of scenery, or so it seemed since it's exactly when we stopped playing. Take a look at our 360 videos and find out if there is something for you in this third installment of the franchise.

60fps ? This the PC version then, right ?
E2: 5th video (Red Space) has errors btw...
Or maybe it's my shitty connection again, i'll recheck.
E3: Nope, it's the video (image goes green)

Fixed ! Sorry for the confusion.

I am not going to explain once again why we encode all our videos at 60fps. This is the console version, it runs at 30 fps and the way we encode our videos doesn't change how the game looks. So basically regarless of what's written, what you see is what you get once you play it at home. I've also heard that the PC version is locked at 30fps when Vsync is activated in the game, and that to play with vsync at 60fps, you must activate vsnyc in the nvidia pannel. I'll check the 3rd vid right away thanks. :)

Edit: everything seems to work fine here, it may actually be your connection.

I bought this for the co-op. And for the fact that Resident Evil 6 left me with No Hope....Left.

That's how it was in Dead Space 2, i am replaying it on pc, feels great with the high framerate. If i turned off V-sync i got "coil whine" due to the game going up to 200 fps. :)

Im will replay 1 and 2 and ignore DS3, it just looks bad, like every game does that tries to please everyone.

Good game so far, yeah not much scary, but a nice direct sequel, pretty epic and well-done. Playing it on PC, near perfect antialiasing alone makes it a by far superior version to all consoles (well, duh). Textures look fine for the most part.
I played demo on xbox few days ago and if this is what they got in the final product graphics-wise then I, yet again, pity all console gamers for getting a by far inferior version.
Actually no, I don't pity them. They brought it upon themselves.

why do PC gamers all seem to try and justify their PC version? lol like insecure about it, sure it has better graphics but i bet 95% of the people prefer console just for the convenience.

Even if Dead Space 3 isnt the regular Dead Space anymore to some...based on what some people say, I still think it is from the videos i seen. You are spending alot of time in a ship fixing stuff, walking in tight spots having that horror vibe lurking all over and doing what you did in Dead Space 1 and 2.
Only the beginning is very actiony, but that ends quick enough to not be bothered with it.

All in all, Dead Space 3 still has its essence much more than how Resident Evil 6 turned out. I played Leon section of the full game (his is suppose to be the most RE-ish right) its still a big piece of shit game and nothing what RE4 was like. Tbh i havent been able to finish Leon's campaign and I havent touched the others and I will get rid of the game.

With Dead Space, i didnt finish the 2nd one but i finished the 1st. I think its the Assassins Creed syndrome for me. Were the first in the series I can finish because it was fresh, something new and original, but sequals gets more of the same to the point i just lose interest and not finish it. I have a feeling DS3 will be the same for me. I will see if a friend gets it so I can borrow his for a few days.

cause ps3 and xbox360 are outdated and aren't able to deliver amazing graphics, even the exclusives aren't very impressive tbh

And then we got people who still are ignorants that compares PC to consoles.

Exclusives are impressive.

Reviews on Metacritic are all over the place. Some call it excellent, others call it a bad game. Don't think I will buy it soon.
It's pretty fun on co-op. But it's tedious. I played a lot of the first, none of the 2nd, but I liked slicing limbs with the line tool in the first. This is pretty much run and gun shoot everything till it stops moving. No real strategy, but weapon crafting can be fun if you try it.

Hell, won't be as bad that's for sure! I'm also tired from all these sequels to big games - don't plan to get upcoming Gears and all of the people that say DS3 is pretty much run and gun shooter now, makes it very easy skip for me.

I been playing on PC today since morning (everything maxed out except AA and Vsync getting +60fps and 50fps minimum, looks great), tbh only the first level is run and gun but that ends quickly, the rest you are constantly in a ship (so far, no ice planet!) going in a corridor type path and just killing whatever comes out from various directions with tension music cues. And then there is like small puzzles and mechanical fixes Isaac usually does.

I am not seeing anything less out of the ordinary that Dead Space 1 didnt do, its exactly like previous games so i dont know where this "run and gun" is about. I think people are saying it because they cant be "scared" anymore since they experienced Dead Space 1 and 2 and now is in a familair ground, just like Bioshock 1 and 2, so nothing surprises them anymore...atleast thats how it is for me.

Its basically, been there done that in typical Dead Space style.

And the whole run and gun for me is because Isaac can now customize weapons, from plasma cutters to rapid fire weapons, or both, or shotguns...etc. so they have to add something. Thats what Dead space 1 and 2 had as well. I honestly dont know what people are expecting from this and then saying its different.

Why play metro? that game is lame. Check out Far Cry 3 on pc. Beautiful graphics. great gameplay. Far Cry 3 on console version looks like the PC version on Low Settings.
