For once, we are proposing you to watch, not the first few minutes of the adventure, but a couple of extracts taken after the first hour of gameplay of Alien: Isolation on PC. We'll do our best to add videos of the console versions as well, provided our copies finally find a way out of our ventilation system, but for now we'll focus on the 60 fps of the Steam version. If you're curious to know what happens in the beginning of the game, we'll also put up PC videos of the early steps into the game, just be a little patient. As you'll see, this new Alien title finally nails it, it's very atmospheric to say the least, it looks great and is truly faithful to the art style of the original movie. You can tell this game was made by fans for fans.
Update: Added four videos from the beginning of the game on PC. Note that these videos were recorded with 5.1 audio, available in the downloadable version.

That said the hour or so that i've played of it was pretty decent, but obviously i haven't gotten very far.
I can't stand watching gamepad gameplay clips.
I can't stand playing with no analog controls, it's so old fashioned.
Just bitching to bitch. How do you feel about the game Drift?

This has the atmosphere alone to keep me going. It's much better than a stereotypical creepy mansion.
As for Alien, it sure looks good and has decent atmosphere. Can't really say much more yet, but i'm not really expecting it to be the next definitive horror experience. Also i can't help but constantly compare it to the movie, which i love, and it sort of comes up a bit short. The fact that they've tried to make the space station look so much like the Nostromo is just kinda weird to me. They also have this weird visual blend of some stuff looking like goddamn atari 3200 crap, while other things look much more like something designed today, as opposed to the late 70s whence the inspiration came. I don't know. At any rate, it certainly isn't bad so far, just a few nit-picks really.
This game isn't scary at all, but the game is very well made, Graphics are crisp and everything looks correct, lighting is by far the best I've seen this gen.
Gameplay is a mixture of hiding, using different things you have created and diverting the aliens attention. Android's are awesome. Flame thrower kick's ass.
Loving the game on PC atm.
Unfortunately towards the end of the game you start to get used to the behaviour of the beast, which is expected since you can't program a completely unpredictable AI. But I'm really hoping CA will continue to develop it in new DLC, make it learn new tricks to keep the player in suspense.
The beginning 10 hours of the game is easily one of the most memorable gaming experiences this year.
