GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Gamersyde was not going to miss the embargo lift on the video footage of Batman: Arkham Knight. Since Warner Bros. had no intention to send us the game before its release, we had to turn to our friendly neighborhood retailer. Even though we got our hands on a copy of the game last Friday and hadn't signed any NDA, we decided not to break the embargo because we are good people. The silver lining is that we've had more than time to prepare a lot of gameplay videos for you to enjoy. For those who can understand a bit French, we've added a commented video we recorded on Friday. Don't worry though, we have plans for a real live stream in English, tonight at 9:30 GMT+2. Until then, we hope you'll appreciate all the footage we've prepared!

Understandably the batmobile stuff is the most strenuous, but it never seems to go lower then 27fps....not bad at all. Looks lovely too

Really nice. I wonder if Rocksteady managed to get it to 1080p on X1 too, but i am guessing 900p.

I don't like the sound of the bat tank stuff based on the reviews but I loved AC and AA so I'll happily give the game a shot.

Soooo...damn...these videos are way too big guys...also they tend to run really crappy and I'm using an iCore7 8X0 series (8 threads hyper threading) and using AMD quad cores and VLC player and the others and theres a lot of skipping...can you guys just try to make these videos be more compatible?

Can't even play these on older gen consoles cause it also skips like hell.

I's rare you guys have the xb1 version first, since most of the neogaffers have the ps4 version.
BTW, you are so adorable, good people
Mine will be unlocked in less than 3hrs, pre-ordered both dmc4se and batman, this week will be really tough for me

Akumajo, when I find that VLC is having trouble with a high-bitrate video, I switch over to Media Player Classic. Give that a try.

based on blims description, i think each vertical line that isn't full length is a torn frame...and where the top of the line is is where the tear is appearing on screen...most seem to be in the upper half? maybe i'm reading it wrong. it tears a lot by the looks of it.

I dont know the quoted specs from the devs but it shouldnt really go below 30fps should it? thats when the major screen tearing starts for me, but gotta say it looks amazing. Although ive not preordered ive been considering a purchase.

all i've heard in regards to performance from devs is in regards to the PS4 version, which is apparently a very solid 30fps across the board @ 1080p. i've not downloaded the high res footage, what res is the Xbone version?

This xbone footage doesn't look at all like 1080p but I could not find any info on the real resolution. I think we have to wait for the game release and let the guys (can't remember the website name) analyze the screenshot to understand what resolution / AA is used. But I am 100% it is not a pure 1920x1080, looks really blurry compared to whatever I play on PC.

Akumajo: the kinds of codecs you use on PC are important (more important than the player, as long as it uses these codecs. VLC is not very well optimized and uses its own codecs, not those installed in Windows which are available to Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic). I think installing the k-lite codec pack and being careful about the different options of hardware-acceleration there, you can run 1080p60 on quite old hardware. I have other GSY 1080p60 videos run flawlessly on a laptop with i7-740QM and QuadroFX880 (a good laptop from 5 years ago), using hardware acceleration ofcourse. I didn't check the above ones on that machine, though.

these games always seem to push the boundries of his one rule tbh. i've seen a gif of him throwing a guy out about 12 feet in the air out of a fast moving car which would have surely killed him. plus i've seen him ram heads into electrical boxes. the dude has surely killed some people by this point in the arkham series.

But in MK they have broken spines and keep fighting, so I think Batman is only causing some "flesh wounds". :-D

I find VLC can't play high end video very well at all. Most of the time it just brakes.

I don't know how my laptop compares to you're hardware, but I am using PotPlayer (with LAV filters & MadVR) to play videos. I get perfect playback; 60fps no frame drops.
