That's Black Cat? Looks like just a sexy lab nerd look, even Catwoman in TDKR looks more like a cat than this.

Black Cat has generally always looked like that

Also the movement looks cool, but it seems pretty low to the ground compared to the old great Spiderman games.
How much control you have and how dominant QTE's are will make or break this.

So it gives you vertigo when you're falling and makes you vomit.

So it has a vertical feeling and not so much horizontal all the time

Did the old games do that to you?

It looks like it's a bit of a swing and a miss in that regard already tho. They've gone back to webs that attatch to the sky...pretty lame.

'swing and a miss' - good job...and will more than likely perfectly sum the game up.

Even when using Move? I thought you use it to aim your swing and you have to shoot the webbing at buildings? Unfortunately Kinect doesn't seem to be supported. :( Although not that surprising since it's Sony's movie so that probably had something to do with it. Having said that, I reckon this game might use SmartGlass. (Not that I can use it, I don't have a tablet and only a basic phone.) Someone has to make a Kinect Spider-Man game though, he's perfect for a Kinect game! (And one of the first game ideas I had back when "Project Natal" was first revealed, an Iron Man game too.)

This is the only movie franchise I can think of that has had a great game to go with it - at least in the Superhero genre anyway.

Thank God for LoveFilm <3 I wouldn't buy this but I will very much enjoy renting it.

Sit in a car or trin, buss that is moving, then just look out and focus on one area without following an object. Thats motion blur.

Yeah, the free roam actually looked better 8 years ago or whenever the original free roam game was out. At least then you had to push buttons to do things and the webs actually attached to stuff, you know like how the world works(I know its a comic, but they might as well make him fly like superman at this rate).

Now you just "hold" R2 and spidey flies around on imaginary ceilings and then pause the game and select a waypoint for where you want to land? Half the time it just looks like you are flying and flailing around all nimbly bimbly rather than actually swinging. Not really seeing anything redeeming about this one...

I think it looks pretty damn good, but then again i live in reality.Gamers nowadays need to realize that they will never have a game that does everything perfectly.Take it for what it is....Spiderman!You dont like what u see, dont play it.Do gamers even like games anymore? All i ever read on any site about any game are the negatives, maybe that is a sign. The world seems hateful from all sides these days.....

Not hateful at all, but games are becoming more and more simplified, and with the massive heap of Spiderman games out there (I count at least 6 on the 360), I was expecting a little bit more out of this. I don't think anyone is expecting a game like this to do EVERYTHING, but name one area where the game is exceptionally better than Spiderman 2 from last gen (other than graphics of course).

Spiderman 2 came out 8 years ago, and since then we have had around a dozen games for all different devices, the latest and greatest of which has improved by making prettier graphics and..............simplified controls? Personally I don't think making things simpler and less skill driven=better. 8 years ago web swinging was actually physics based and dependent on where you were and momentum. You had to plan your movements and watch where you went because you could actually fail.

Now, like most games, developers just want to make you look cool and feel unbeatable, so you just hold down a button and watch Spidey magically fly around. Want to land on something? Don't bother thinking or judging it, just pause the game and select a landing point. Maybe some people are becoming jaded, but perhaps that is more a symptom of the majority of games lacking any real innovation, rather than some social ill.

Maybe so,i never said that a person could not have valid points concerning gameplay or innovation. Its just that all games are judged to the point where i feel its almost border line ridiculous. To me it looks fun regardless of its flaws....every game has flaws. And as far as them making so many goes, well thats the way it is these days....madden and Cod are prime examples of that strategy.Just makes no sense to me why people rip a game to shreds before they have actually played it imo.

I don't disagree that people seem overly negative these days, but I really do think it is mainly due to oversaturation of certain titles and series. If you look at the reception for games that actually try to innovate (think watchdogs at E3 or some of the unique Indie titles), and compare it to announcements like a new COD, Madden, or Spiderman 36, I think you will see what I mean. People tend to get excited about games that bring something new to the table, and give a big MEH, to those that don't.

That doesn't mean every game with a sequel is going to get ridiculed though. Look at series like the Elder Scrolls or GTA. Each game doesn't really do that much differently from its predecessor, but because Bethesda and Rockstar put so much time and care into making their games, they are almost always met with universal praise.

To sum it up, I think there definitely is more negativity than ever, but there is so much milking of franchises (sequelitis) and stagnation, that I can't really condemn people for voicing their frustration, myself included. I think if you look at certain titles, I think you will see the kind of positivity and optimism that gaming should instill, if only the developers would make the effort. I do agree that people need to keep a more open mind though, and that is something we could all work on....
