This DOA4 video from X05 is a bit different from usual since the two people playing the game are the current chief editor of the french official xbox magazine, and the old one. One more proof that being a good player is not a requirement for such a job :)

And the bulk of the important gameplay mechanics
And the character models
And the online modes
But just those.
I think the models are probably a little more rounded but with the art style it isn't so easy to tell.
Oh and La Mariposa's headscissors counters are beautifully animated!
One of the great looking games of the 1st generation for XBOX360 for sure.
Is a decent male character too much to ask for? All of the interesting styles belong to the jiggly women and I've never really liked playing female characters in beat 'em ups. I know it's a stupid remark, prolly, I should just adjust and jiggle around, but it does bother me a bit. Oh well.

Eliot I'm reserving judgement about, I might just like playing as him. :)
I wonder if most of you have even played this game enough to at least know character's combos properly and the game's fighting mechanics.
Quite frankly I've played enough DOA to know that the game looks way better and some of this things in DOA4 could not be achievable on XBOX. The character's look much better than the Xbox versions of DOA3 and DOAU, since they have more detail and the clothing looks much better.
Lots of people say it doesn't look next game and it's just high res, but it's because Team Ninja wants to stick with their anime inspired art style for DOA and not be realistic like other fighting games and like Ninja Gaiden.
You can already see that the environments are great, plus this IS after all a first generation Xbox 360 game, so I'm sure in future DOAs and upcomingb Team Ninja games they will have even most stunning looking graphics.
Anyways,
Thanks Blim Blim and others for this video.

Game looks and plays the same as doa always does, but it does look nice.
I think it looks pretty slick personally--perhaps not what I was hoping for out of Team Ninja but not bad for a first round effort either--especially when put next to other launch games.
