To me, the potential for 256 players is the only impressive aspect of the game so far, and as impressive as it is, it's not an attractive quality at the moment. I've never been a fan of overpopulated mp games.

if it turns out as good as it sounds on paper, then it should be a great multiplayer game. a lot of things could potentially go wrong tho.

256 players is little more than a gimmick until they demonstrate how they intend to make such a population work in this type of game. If MAG (lol) doesn't have features like scalable maps, a large selection of vehicles, extensive objective gameplay and (perhaps most importantly) some sort of chain of command (commander, squads, squadrons, etc).. well.. it's just going to be a MCF (Massive Clusterfuck).

why would there be a need for 256 players on a single screen? this isnt some cluster-fuck UT type game...it's squads taking on objectives across a larger map. hell, i dont think i've ever seen all 16 players on screen in a game of cod 4....why would that suddenly happen in a game with a much higher player count?
