Oh, wow! Just got this email for the uk store where I bought the game:

I am sorry to inform you that my supplier has identified the product “Bad Company 2 Ltd Edition” of which I dispatched on Thursday has now had claims for the supplier that they are not region free and the wrong ones were sent. Unfortunately you have received one of these copies and I would ask you not to open the game but return it to my address at:

does this make any sense?!

edit: specially after what Viginti_Tres said. Hmm, In any case they say they reimburse me, so I think I'll just go to mediamarkt today and get me a copy, if Viginti_Tres says it's going to be in english.

Rock on! Thanks for the heads up man, got the game already (have a gamestop just across the street). Checked it and it's indeed all english. Good times.

Just as bad in defense when you're the only one even bothering to stop the boxes being attacked, the snipers just shooting at each other across the map.

The best way to nullify it would be to put a limit on sniper rifles specifically. You can level up your Recon just as easily with an All Kits weapon like the Saiga or the Thompson.

I hate snipers. Playing rush, half the team is recon, and no one is pushing on the objective. It's the beta all over again.

I'm always hating my team. Just yesterday I saw 3 guys sitting right next to the armed crate shooting some people in a building nearby, I had to run across the base, kill the enemy squad and disarm the crate on my own. It's like my team mates aren't even there except for being bullet sponges. In a horrible team such as this you can only hope they show them self enough to catch some enemy fire so you don't draw too much attention on yourself (people will always go for the easy kills instead of the guy who has been hammering them since the start). Noob snipers however are the worst kind of noobs, they make you loose.

Or in another match on the Laguna Something map we were pinned down to A by a lot of snipers on the elevated positions. 3 guys were desperately trying to take them down with SMGs from a house corner. They all were gunned down and I revived them. And then they moved out of the cover again while at least 3 guys were shooting exactly at the corner of the house, all 3 dead again, I didn't revive them. That's stupidity, not lack of skill.

Edit: I don't know how the Saiga was in the Beta but it's very weak now. I usually need up to 3 shots at 5 meter distance. Once more than one enemy crosses you your clip is not big enough killing more than one guy. I'll try it again once I unlock the 12 Gauge perk, but I don't expect it to be good.

Not that I've noticed, do you mean in terms of damage or accuracy? Seems just as beastly at close range and I've had a few decent kills at medium.

Damage--I was using it a lot in the beta, and it tore through everything, but now at medium range it seems far less effective. Maybe it has something to do with the damage model changes. Now that SMG's and Assault Rifles are doing more damage, it probably would negate a little bit of the S20K's performance. So yeah.. maybe it's just that other weapons are more effective than they previously were.

I blame the unlocks a little. It's like TF2. People want their items so they'll whore out whatever class they're working on, regardless of how well it fits into the situation they're in.

Yeah you might be right. The Engie SMGs seem to have more bite now especially.

I can understand some launch day jitters, but it's been nearly a week and this is the first time many people actually have the free time to play. They need to re-evaluate their system, I think.

I'd rather still be using Gamespy at this point. At least BF2 still works.

Yeah seems like they are changing things. When you go into Quick Match now it is another menu instead of dropping right in. You can see the maps and everything now when you go to select what specific one you want. Looks like they're adding in few odds and ends within the first few days?

Good thing this game is so good. It could go down a hundred times a day and I'd still be trying to get a server.

When it works, man is this game fun. I still prefer Battlefield 2 over this but I'm having a ball playing this. I also refuse to believe this is the same game as the beta, it runs silky smooth on my system, never dip below 30 fps with high settings at 1920x1080.

Hey I just started playin' yesterday, and thanks to all the server issues, I've only had a chance to play for a few hours so far.

Granted, I played 40 hours of the beta so I was pretty well prepared anyway. I'm liking how quickly Assault is opening up to me. You have to play rush to unlock shit though. That's where all the points are.

Yeah. Rush is great to level up. I played some conquest hard to get as much points as on Rush. But damn, it's kinda boring play conquest because owning the flags doesn't drop the tickets...

I'm pretty sure there is a ticket bleed, I've seen it start as soon as we capped flags in conquest, prior to a single person being killed. It's just really, really slow.

Conquest needs a higher ticket count badly though. And yes, those motion sensors ROCK!

The sensor ball is seriously overpowered once you pair it with a close range weapon. Every time I hear it I know I'm about to die unless I GTFO.
