There's that prone transition.. which I'm not even positive why I brought up before, since we've seen it several times in the stage demos.

And oh my! Dem sounds! The chain guns on the helo sound crazy awesome.

The sound design is the best I've EVER heard in a game. I'm less impressed for some reason with the graphics than I originally was a month ago

Only thing that makes me go sad when watching it, so far, is the stale animations and lack of weight.
Why did they change it from Bad Company 2? Wish they kept it.

I did say I dont like modern military type of games, but some times ago i decided to invest more into FPS/shooters in general games, and I have to widen my setting likings if I want more quality games, so modern is one of them (priority being sci fi, I am picky with modern ones).
Best modern military FPS coming out? Obviously its this game.

I wanted to get Homefront on PC, but people say its bad so I avoided it..
But if I do decide to get BF3, I will definitely get it on PC, hopefully they have a great mouse movement and not like Crysis 2 were I have to manually add some config commands to it.
I doubt DICE will have any support for 360 controller for PC version, even on SP, they didnt do so in Bad Company 2.

I can't wait to see that long trailer :)

PS. Yes I agree, Battlefield, (Bad Company 2 to be specific) as THE best sound in any shooter I have seen/played.
The atmosphere, the sound of the guns, soldiers...etc. just great. How DICE does it is magic hehe.
I always took "War Tape" in Audio options, felt like being in the game, especially with headphones and all :)

Wrong words, to be specific "different".
I mean its obvious it doesnt look like BC2 interms of weapon bobbing and that "weighty" feel BC2 had and that is something I liked about it.

I think Sath just means the weapons don't look as "heavy" in how the gun moves when in first person mode??? I could be wrong. Not sure though as all the animations, lighting, sound, EVERYTHING about this game looks simply fucking amazing IMO.

Watched the episode on my TV and holy shit, even on a 40" screen this game looks just as great as it does on my laptop screen. What I am most impressed by though is the amazing sound design. Easily and by far the best sound I have ever heard in any game, easily in a league of it's own.

It's getting borderline childish how hyped I'm getting for this game lol.

I watched the latest 1080 vid and honestly I really doubt this will be the best looking game this year. It looks kinda bad compared to Crysis 2 to be honest :/

Crysis 2 does have an incredible level of polish to its looks that BF3 lacks, I don't doubt that. I'm more impressed with the stuff DICE is doing personally, but Crysis 2 takes the original and shines it up quite a bit. Crytek sorta had it easy, I think, since the original Crysis was so far out ahead of the pack that they didn't really need to do much (other than optimization, and lean on a new generation of hardware) to put out a game that runs and looks better than the original. What does it really matter, anyway? They both look great in their own ways. What matters to me is that BF3 plays as good as it looks (fingers crossed) and doesn't turn into a semi-sequel to Bad Company. I suspect that some concepts from BC2 will meet the "true successor" to BF2 somewhere in the middle--and that I'm okay with--so long as the result is spectacular.

Battlefield 3’s campaign "more closely resembles the tightly-scripted likes of the Call Of Duty series, rather than the open, sandbox style of its previous Battlefield 2: Bad Company games."

And then Patrick Bach shits on sandbox games. "...in most cases sandbox games are hardcore, boring, hard to get into and they are not very popular.”

I wasn't aware that Bad Company 2 had a "sandbox style" though. I've only played a few levels but they were all very linear.

Which means, Crysis 2 will win best shooter of the year awards. You could say, who cares about SP in Battlefield, but DICE clearly does by pumping probably >$50 million into it.

Can't wait to see console footage. I know it won't be close to PC..but i am a console gamer and my laptop can NEVER handle this one. DICE said fans will be happy when they see the 360 version. Hopefully this E3 we'll see it.
