Where the fuck is your ping?
Their was none, it was only visible in the server browser....
A lot of things were missing in the alpha.

Like I couldn't leave the game or go to the options unless I was in the game and alive...

--Blame what on lag? I'm not for the counter-productive and streamlining of video games. I'm old school, I like to know what my ping is, and I do not wish to play with people who are 400ms, nor do I want to have 400ms to a server. That shit is unacceptable.

I'm kidding, mostly. I'm against streamlining when it boils down to dumbness. There's no reason to hide our pings. It was like this in BC2 too. They added it later.. though.. oddly they use their own measurement for latency in BC2. Ping on the server browser was your actual ping in milliseconds, but when you enter a game, you get this strange inflated number across the board. It's not an error though, it's just them choosing to use some arbitrary measurement that no one knows or understands.

Seriously looking forward to this game. Always a COD fan but last spring jumped into Medal of Honor. I really like the MP engine now. So...bring on Frostbite 2.

The alpha was already pretty promising. I'll be finding that sweet spot for 60fps personally. Only maxing her out when I can do it without losing performance.

Expose the above post for new information. Scrolling was getting to be a pain..

I just noticed the squad perks. Not sure how I feel about that. I'm not a big fan of this blown out progression in general. One of the things I do not love about BF3. It's being crushed by all of the things they're getting right though :)

Also.. it seems as if BF2-style map scaling is out, but Conquest 64 is a separate mode, so I guess we'll get 32 man and 64 man layouts at least. Infantry only ftw. I also can't imagine hardcore.. the damage model is already brutal.

On NeoGAF they say the commo rose has been confirmed... hmm... I wonder if quick spotting is out or if we're getting both.

I sorta expect the back to Karkand map pack to be an expansion a la Vietnam. That means we won't be combining those BF2 weapons with other maps, or using core BF3 stuff in the BF2 maps. I sorta hope that's wrong, but I doubt it. Handling map rotations w/ DLC that some people won't have becomes tricky.

Didn't like it in the alpha--granted there was only one vehicle--but I think it's a stupid concept. I wish they would allow parked engis to auto-repair armor (as in BF2) or supply crates, etc.

Having magic repair seems to cater to lone wolves and fuck that. It's bad enough that we still regen HP for infantry.

I still think the game is awesome :)

Why would you demo such a dark ass level on stage? And what was with all the cheesy scripted communication?

Lighting was pretty nice tho. Doesnt look like it's going to be a graphical benchmark on consoles tho. Seems that's reserved for the PC version?

You'd thing the console version would be a contender within console visuals, no?

You know, like crysis 2 was despite its major technical issues, screen tearing, LOD, animations and framerate. Atm, console version of crysis 2 is looking better then console version of BF3. Woulnt have thought that would have been the case at all.

Crysis 2 was also targeted squarely at consoles. The only special thing Crysis 2 did on the PC is run at 60fps. Press start to begin. LOL.
