Oh.. and pistols.. omg pistols!
Yeah, so last night I got to jump into 1 game. I was on D on Metro of course. I died a couple times right off as I was spawning on a squad mate in a fire fight. Anyhow I backed off and since we had one MCOM left (A) I tried to get a cross fire flank on the other team. This was working pretty well. Anyhow the game gets down to 14 or so tickets and they are desperate. I took out 3 guys and then backed off down the hill to reload and to get new cover. I knew there had been a recon crawling on the far left of the map. Anyhow I hear a big fire fight and see all the blue blips on my screen die. So I turn around and lo and behold right outside the rock fence are 3 guys.

I pull my pistol.

Bang-Bang-Bang.

All 3 go down.

Now I know they just didn't push around the side or down the middle so I knew there HAD to be a squad leader around. I figured he was playing it smart giving them cover and staying back as a spawn point so as I 180 I switch to my rifle.

Bang.

Headshot, 0 tickets left, game over. I finished with a nice little spree to end the game, went 13-3.

Yeah, Side Arms rock in this game! I am using the 2nd unlock iirc.

There was a guy sat in a jet facing our only spawn firing his guns non stop on one server. Reported him using Battlelog, would hope EA IP ban the tit.

After playing Caspian for the latter half of the beta period, I'd have to say that I think some major, major squad and team-play based benefits or emphasis is in order. It always went to pure chaos.

And besides the point, I hope there are bigger maps than Caspian.

Yeah creating spawn point. People need to be smarter, simple truth.
With squad based play if your squad is terrible you are at a real disadvantage.

And Conquest will generally always be chaos

No way.
I love being connected to my friends like this.
Having a news feed that shows me their accomplishments when I'm playing and when I'm not.
Being able to load the website, not have to deal with cut-scenes or cycling through brand names before a main menu.

Having a chat that's constantly saved. A website separate from the game dedicated to all my stats and Platoon's stats.
Being able to just link that and add players effortlessly, "friending them"

Also let's not even get into how clear and awesome the voice chat is for this game

Battlelog is a nice feature, but what is not nice is that I can't change my settings outside of being spawned inside of the game. They should've incorporated the server browser into the game as well, give people options. I don't want to have to ALT-F4 everytime I want out of the game or find a new server.

I would have no problem with both. But prefer a in-game browser over a stat-whore-log. There is nothing in that log that cannot be in-game.

They fixed that, along with loads of other things. This guys impressions hold a lot of weight for me. 20ID and all that:

I still don't get the hate. It's faster than the in-game alternatives in previous Battlefield games.

Did you play BC2? The M95 with a red dot on it was so silly. It was fun though :D I'm glad there's nothing really like that here.

I tried quite a few in the beta and eventually settled on the G17 mostly. I adore the look and feel of the magnum, but it's just a little too slow and post damage bug, I feel like it may be a little weak. I wonder how the Rex will compare. There's also a ton of M1911 variants according to the link above, which I'm pretty thrilled with. The G18 was good fun too, but hardly practical.

Well you can still slap slugs and a scope on a shotgun and basically get a semi automatic sniper with the slight omission of the missing bipod.
