AH! I KNEW there was some kind of damage bug! I swear I shot some guys enough to kill them, then they'd smack me with one or two bullets and I was toast :P Also, does anyone know if wireless keyboards cause input issues? It's just a 40 dollar logitec, but I figure it's not ground-breaking technology. I wasn't sure if it was the connection/bug or my board not responding that I would not be able to move sometimes (got me killed a bit as well)...

The damage bug is about doing too much damage to sprinting opponents, not dealing too little or taking too much standing still ;)

There are quite a few bugs/glitches in this game right now.. but I'm not particularly concerned about them. Hopefully most of them get fixed faster than the red name bug in BF2.. which probably still exists.

Been playing this a lot and honestly I don't like it as much as Bad Company 2. The physics in this game are terrible and so are the animations (the hand drawn animations in BC2 were way better IMO)

Even graphically this game is nothing too impressive, non existent physics on bushes and all the clipping makes it worse IMO, adding AA just nukes the performance.

Also, prone kinda sucks, I didn't miss it at all in BC2. I just feel that the gameplay in Bad Company 2 was FUN, awesome helicopter explosions, totally balanced....I am not feeling this game at all.

I think you're probably crazy. This game is already much better than Bad Company 2.

I love that- environments having an effect on game-play. Bushes weren't made for throwing 'nades out of :D Actually, throwing 'nades is really scary *shivers*...

Totally agree with you on the animations (death animations are pretty bad), clipping (death cam-on-foe clipping is ridiculous), and static bushes (though great when there's explosions).
But overall, from the little i've played, loving it.

Yeah dude, you like the game, we get it. Let others express their opinion without insulting them. It's his opinion, he says he is not enjoying it.


I'm mostly sad that they've taken out the chain of command from the game. It was what i missed the most from BC, and was really looking forward to BF3 to have it. It gave an extra dimension to the game (the previous BFs), and set it apart from many other online FPS. Too bad.

So weird. My performance on Caspian Border is great compared to Metro. Also the game looks great even on Lowest. Still set on upgrading my GFX card. Nothing too extreme till the new hardware comes out, but my 4870 deserves a rest.

Managed to sort my stuttering, overclocked my 560Ti a little more to 950/1900/2200 and pretty much eliminated it when playing on ultra. Think the card was having issues with all the texture swapping and either ran out of RAM or was just too slow coping with it.

There are certainly some things I don't love about it (not being able to fire while dropping is definitely one of them), but it's much better than BC2. Movement, once you adapt to the heavy animation, is worlds better.

I've heard this from pretty much everyone. I have v-sync on so I can't tell. This is one of those rare cases where v-sync is actually worth using imo. Triple buffer+vsync just smooths out some of the stuttering I otherwise am feeling.

I got to play on Caspian for about 15 minutes. Great, and friggin' HUGE. Kind of overwhelming at first, but great. I've had no problems at all with performance on ULTRA, I even pumped up the resolution a bit :D I don't know how I'm gonna make it once the beta goes away :(

I think this is the first game ever where I actually switch to the pistol on occasion. I like having the tac-light on it- makes for good tactical options while keeping my fore-grip (just got it for the 249, an it makes it way more versatile). I really hate the AK-74 and the 74U. I pretty much have to put them on single fire to be effective- Thankfully I have my 249 ;)

I love really feeling part of a team that's pushing a front line against an opposing force. I've yet to play Caspian but I'm just starting to really get a feel for what this game is capable of.


I also really enjoy having prone added in this one. I'm constantly running and diving down when I feel I may be turning a dangerous corner or have run too long

FUCK, it's great!!

@Tinks, you've got to check out Caspian Border before it's too late. Absolutely HUGE map with tons of detail. Those Anti-aircraft tanks are sweet too. Looks like using flying vehicles will have to be much more strategic than the death machines they were in the past :D
