Friendly fire being off is ridiculous. The EOD makes a ton of noise and is easy to kill, but it probably still needs to be nerfed. The only reason that it (and the MAV) + C4 are a big deal is because you can't harm your teams vehicles. It makes it way to easy to abuse. But everything about FF being off is silly. I hope they add a filter to the server browser for FF servers so we don't have to jump through hoops to find them. They probably won't though.

The EOD should be able to arm and kill though.. and using it as a C4 bomb seems like a perfectly reasonable tactic to me.. about as reasonable as using explosives on infantry generally gets.

The rest of that video isn't even bad. People aren't paying attention. The thing makes a ton of fuckin noise and all you have to do is shoot it heh.. I mean really.. there are people trying to stand on it at the end while they disarm! Now that's stupid.

I haven't played the beta, but watching that video I was wondering almost the whole way through what exactly was wrong with the little thing--I thought people were just not seeing it (and that was the glitch) but I guess people are just stupid.

EDIT: Anyways, it seems this game is being scrutinized a whole lot. It seems to me much of the issues here you see in just about any other shooter out there. (except things like going underground obviously). And that's just me, not being that interested in BF3 (or any game focusing on MP as I frankly don't have the time).

Just started playing this morning. I haven't seen any glitches and my game just closed randomly for the first time.

The actual game being printed right now is a hell of a lot different then the current state of the BETA. Things that they arent fixing in the BETA are already fixed in the soon to be released retail version. Mostly everything else will be fixed in a day one patch.

Hit escape twice. Ta-da!

And you wouldn't know it. If you encounter anyone who is invincible, they're not technically "on the map." They're a ghost. A ghost that kills people and arms bombs but doesn't take damage.

You've also probably seen and witnessed glitched damage. Try using the sniper rifles. You'll earn body shot kills in one hit quite frequently. That's not supposed to happen.

With the laser sight you can hip shot people from a great distance with it. It's insanely easy.

Played it on 360. Bit buggy/laggy but not that bad... thought it'd look better than that visually though, even on consoles (it is online though I suppose).

The UMP is fine, you're on a CQB map, the gun has shit for distance. Not to mention the run + 1 shot bug that is in-game giving it a bad wrap. If there is anything to worry about worry about the F2000-- That things a beast all around. And people running about with the SVD/mod11.

Oh, I don't know if the bug is making the UMP seem any better than the SVD/MOD11. A lot of people are getting one hit kills with the rifles (and the .44 Magnum) which shouldn't be. They won't be quite as popular in the full game. The UMP-45 will be. It may be shit for range but you can still pick people off from like 100 yards from the hip anyway. There's no avoiding it. And fwiw, even though I disagree, the CQC comment is a valid point. Metro is full of near to medium range encounters, and the UMP does suffer at range. It's just not long range where the UMP is a problem.. but it is greatly exaggerated in the beta.

The beta was supposed to help them do weapon balance. I'm not really sure how you accomplish that with a giant damage breaking bug.

I'd like to see the .44 buffed, too. After the damage bug is fixed, it's going to suck.. and I think the AEK is the best all-rounder in the AR category. The G3 will really set everyone straight there though.

The M16 is still pretty good too.
