I think COD4 played really well on Xbox.. and it was 60fps. And it had a free beta which was already really polished and lots of press. The franchise was built on good stuff, basically.

COD4 is maybe the game of the generation for me, even. It's the first thing since BF2 that I actually played in a league and it was immensely satisfying.

No way. We should basically all stop playing BF3 and talk about COD4 anyway.

I do hope B2K drums up some more interest in the game for some of my BF2 buds.. I'd like to see them pull away from WoT for a bit.

You know what COD has that nothing else new does? Motherfuckin' strafe jumping. People like to scoff at comparisons to Quake and hate on the engine.. but that ole Quake engine stuff is one of the things that makes COD4 great. 125fps ftw.

Aye, as much as I like BF I miss me some good old fast paced arcade shooter action. After CoD4 and Halo 3 there really was nothing that I did play for more than a month or two.

Can't wait for the new maps, I miss Wake Island so bad!! I wish Dice had ported that map to Bad Company 2. It is essentially one of the best FPS maps ever.

2 more days and then BF3 will be a lot better I hope.. The game can really use more good maps.. I mean, most of it's current maps can be fun at times, but have very little to do with real BF gameplay.. There's bassicly only 3 real BF maps in the game right now..

But I guess it's what a lot of people want these days.. Just look at the number of people that play TDM etc, it's a lot.. I'm fine with that aslong as the game offers enough true BF gameplay aswell.. With the Back to Karkand pack it will hopefully..

looks that way, average on ground but a devil in the skies. 36 hrs in planes alone is mighty impressive though, I leave the flying to people like him =)

30 hrs in a jet - doesnt have to mean flying. Having one guy with me-me-me mentality not on the ground but in a useless plane - priceless.

First impressions of Back to Karkand are mostly very positive. CQ Assault is playing great! It's so nice to have another conquest mode back in the mix. Hell, it's about damn time.

I played three maps so far, all on 32 player conquest. Oman is the least recognizable to me. Karkand is small too. The 32 player map is the 16 player size from BF2. It's awesome though. Both it and Sharqi feature a ton of buildings you can now go in and out of now. All three are beautiful too. Sharqi and Karkand have a slightly different look, as does Oman.

I know more infantry isn't what people were begging for.. but they were begging for better maps and we've finally got a few. This really rounds out the game nicely. Shame it's not free for everyone.

Oh, and I nearly unlocked the FAMAS but not quite yet. I might go mess with that before I call it a night.

Oh... I take back what I said about Oman.. or maybe I just feel better about it after playing the large version. Everything is clicking now. All said they're great remakes of great maps. Good stuff.

I played with the FAMAS a bit. I don't like it much. The iron sights sorta suck at least.

The iron sights are indeed terrible on the Famas. Its bad enough they automatically equip you with the Ballistic scope(on consoles, don't know thats the case on PC). WTF i don't want to use the FAMAS with that.smh. Where's my red dot? My holographic?.lol. Thats what went threw my mind. Had to suck it up and unlock them but i killed more than i would have liked to them because of the iron sights.
