Do you wanna just give us the rest of your life story ? :p

What always concerned me about COD4 is that it is just gonna feel like COD2 with new skins. I hate how the grenades sound exactly the same etc. I know theres all the new game modes and stuff like that but I mean the overall feel. I want it to feel brand new.

As far as console FPS's go, CoD2 felt sublime to me. Despite a horribly lackluster mp, I still found it to be a huge blast to play online, and I still do every now and then. It certainly played better than PDZ (multilevel zooming depending on trigger pressure? terrible!).

I would be ecstatic if it felt like a prettier CoD2 but with player advancement and perks.

I hope the beta gets released outside of the US soon.

Well it was just a very tiny post, but my life is short like that :P

But the first one was pretty much all questions I wanted to know about COD4 which obviously you guys know more than me.

I am kind of dissapointed in Iw that this beta is US exclusive, if it wasen't it was a very good way for me to decide if it was a purchase or not.

Ah well, hopefully a public demo then.

It's not US exclusive, just this phase. There will be sign ups for Europe very soon. Keep an eye on http://www.charlieoscardelta.com and http://www.fourzerotwo.com for more information.

If I miss the beta sign up or anything I could always buy it and then if I didn't like it, return it back within 10 days.

Grrr! If they weren't guaranteeing that we'd all get in--this would make me ANGRY. Hell it already makes me angry that there are people from all over the world playing right now, and people from the US still waiting. I hope people from the US who didn't register now wind up taking up entries for other territories!

I don't blame you for wanting to play though, and there are tons of other people who have successfully done the same thing already.. so I'm not really angry but it's still annoying. Hell people from Europe who are playing fair and have to wait should be the ones who tear you a proper new one :P

hmm, sorry if this somehow pisses people of, but truth is they said you need to have an US gold live account. So i'm not so sure if this was not a stunt for them (microsoft) to have a few thousands new live accounts from the eager Europeans who were not patient enough. You do know that i am going to pay to play for this (besides my european gold account) whereas you americans are not going to pay anything extra, so i don't know why be pissed of, it's my lost not yours. right? Everybody's getting in anyway.

yeah, but why after the Spring update you cannot download videos (which is perfectly reasonable of course) but you can everything else?

Anyways, of course i won't mind paying. I had so much fun when the BF2142 beta came out (i also registered specially in fileplanet for it, and don't regret), that im pretty sure i will as well, doesn't matter that its beta , and the money is gonna be worth it.

I wish they had some way of telling who was working the system from Europe and banned their Live accounts.. like all of them :P

Hei Grift, bare in mind that we paid the same fee as you do for our European Gold accounts, and we get a very truncated service (no media, and lots of times excluded from demos...).

And of course they have a way of knowing, that's why we cannot download movies duh. It's just funny that they don't stop us from downloading other stuff, like demos which everybody does anyway...

I think this is for the US only.
As planned, Infinity Ward closed down the extended entry into the CoD 4 beta last night and prepared to send out entry tokens to a select random few. But soon after the sign up closed down we were informed of their new beta plans. Over on Fourzerotwo's blog he announced that, in an effort to apologize to the community for the last few days of craziness, Infinity Ward will be awarding CoD 4 multiplayer beta tokens to EVERY person who signed up. That's right, if you signed up for entry into the beta you are guaranteed a beta download token. Heck, your token could be sitting in your inbox right now. Fourzerotwo says that they'll be sending out beta tokens throughout the next few days, staggering the emails out a little bit so they can slowly ramp up the amount of beta participants. So, if you signed up and still haven't received your beta token, just be patient. You'll get it soon'ish. Oh, and Infinity Ward, we just want to say that you guys rock!

Yea we were just talking about that, on this very page. It's supposed to be US only, but plenty of people have found ways around that. Plenty of Europeans playing while I still wait for my key :/
