This game reminds me of Uncharted 2, a great single player with stunning visuals but the MP is boring and bland.

Oh man u didnt just say uncharted 2 mp is boring! I really loved it

same, felt completely different to anything else i played, and it at least felt consistant too, crysis 2 feels far too random due to the stealth/armour abilities. you either can't see enemies, or they take a clip and a half to kill. i mean, juggernaut in COD was one thing, but this is on an entirely diffrent level.

hell, i wouldnt even say crysis 2 was a "great" single player either. good and enjoyable, but not great. far too many issues with the game for that sort of statement imo. utterly broken AI being number 1.

I think in the part where I am now, is the best single player FPS since Halo Combat Evolved.

And Im still very early.

I decided to keep Crysis 2 PS3 version for a bit longer, hoping for a patch or something.
That and my sister convinced me to keep it a bit longer so I will.

I just played a few matches online, seems that during the night, not many people play compared during the day (Swedish time). It took me like less than 2 minutes to find and then start the match which was nice.

Though I dont know if its me, but in Single Player, the bottom right, is it just me or is the background of the hud of your energy bar...etc. another layer but very blurry? I keep getting that when I Resume the campaign, on both PC and PS3, not always but it happens, though it goes away and then come back on.
Weird.

Really? hmm, pretty much all my PS3 friends list didnt like the MP much at all. It just got old so very fast. Just too many other MP games that are far better.

hmm I beat the game today overall my feelings are mixed but I think Crytek is on the right path! BTW this is the most well optimized day 1 pc game ever!! Even on DX9 the game spanks a lot of other DX11 games and man they really nailed the optimizations <3

I highly recommend it to all PC gamers (dunno about the console version)

I beat it too, I loved it!
In this day and age were campaigns are super short and crap, Crytek delivered a very awesome campaign.

Some set pieces was just amazing especially in the mid game to the end with aliens and seeing NY all screwed up, though I loved the very ending alot (before the cutscene) reminded me of LOTR3 were Frodo is forcing his body to go to into the Mordor volcano and throwing the ring into the fire. Samething with Alcatraz were he is all worned out and his body is getting ripped and he forces himself to go to the ledge of the alien core thingy jumps for it in the end to heal it all.

I also loved the one with the big bridge collapsing and Alcatraz was trying to grab on something, seeing that destruction was WOW for me hehe.

There is one thing that pissed me off, Nomad and Psycho wasent mentioned at all, I would love to see them join the game or atleast be mentioned through the nanosuit.

I loved the voice for the nanosuit, so damn badass!
Its like if Crytek contacted Bioware to borrow the voice of Legion and Thane, very awesome job on that.

One thing that I found gimmicky which annoyed me is the damn QTE, in a FPS game? QTE? its very stupid.

All in all, definitely the best FPS I have played so far, the gameplay is perfect for my style of gameplay, the sprinting, super jump, predator style cloak...etc. very awesome.

For a game to look this great and runs very great is magic LOL
I was surprised my Radeon 4890 could handle it on Very High with forced AA and smoothing HD...etc. through the CCC, kept getting 40+ fps with very rare 30fps from time to time but most of it was around 40fps especially during big epic set pieces and firefights.

The only thing they need to do is to patch it the issues like glitches for reloading, AI, sound, some of the button right hud looks blurry, would be great!

I finished it on PC, and yes I played it with k/m from the middle of the game ever since I fixed the mouse movement config, just great.
I have to beat it on PS3 as well but I wouldnt mind, great stuff.

Btw, for those that havent completed it, but wonder if there is New Game+, yes there is!
Once you are done, you can replay any chapter and you still have all the unlockable modules you got in the end of your last game. You can change difficulty level as well and still keep them.

Also, can anyone explain to me why "Classic mode" in MP is already unlocked on PC while on consoles you have to rank 28 to unlock it? Its annoying that I have to rank 28 for classic mode on PS3 while I can play it anytime on PC (I am rank 18 i think).

Can you play like this with the 360 controller?

All 3 versions play exactly the same, there is nothing unique I saw in that video that I didnt do with DS3 or 360 controller if anything, I went more badass than that guy did, more like Predator/Big Boss.
Doing sprint and then forcing the AI to turn just so I could super jump above and do a 360 turn and cloak and slit his throat.

So yes, go with the 360 version because Crytek did an amazing job to implement all the needs you can do with the k/m on controller.
Only thing is, the mouse, the speed and precision, so if say you are a very good FPS player with gamepad on consoles then you have nothing to worry about.

I play like that, well not that skilled yet but thats the way I play, notice how he kill and moves to another position? thats Predator style for me, pure flanking and cloaking and stealth killing and basically playing like a stylish maniac, of course that dude is amazing though.

Was asking because I saw a post somewhere where someone didnt unlocked the achievement of Super HUman dif cause it has to start from the very first cinematic.

I could pick Super Human difficulty, I took a random first level too.

Am I the only one finding this game's SP boring?

I wish it were more satisfying to do things. Like firing a gun. Even the choppers mounted guns sound terrible. I guess BFBC2's sound spoiled me.

Yup, that's one of the things that really put me off (judging from the MP demo, before the game came out), the sound was very weak. pew-pew-pew, as compared to BFBC amazing sound.
Played 10 min yesterday of the SP, and it sounded a bit better though.

i suggest buying some 5.1 headphones...even the silenced weapons sound meaty. i LOVE the sound in this game...it's the one area where it's consistantly great. may not be as technically impressive as bad company, but overall it's a damn sight better.

Yes sounds in general and weapons sounds are really great stuff, also killing feedback is great and thats one thing Battlefield 2 Bad Company doesnt have IMO.

Oh yeah. I played the PC version with a 360 controller, and I did waay crazier stuff than that. On my second play-through, and doing tons of Predator with is healthy dose of Neo, lol. Sometimes I'll sprint, then slide into the guy( knocking him down), then pop out of cloak and shotgun somebody. Then I cloak again, hide/recharge, then shotgun-slide-kill one guy then super punch the next. Yeee-ah. Jump over one guys cover an blast him on the way, then crush his buddy with a good car kick( side note, a full kick to the hood makes it 'splode!!). All with a controller. The Aim assist is just about perfect...

Second that. I was even wondering if maybe a different link was supposed to be posted as nothing that guy was doing was particularly crafty or difficult to pull off.

Agreed, after some more time with the game, its pretty clear he was only testing, because the things he does are like second nature now for me, not even that creative, it looks impressive because of the sense of control he has like he knows exactly what to do at all times.
