Yea, I thought it was real as well Jin. It didn't occur to me until I noticed a comment on GAF that stated it was the game.

And you're right Lebato, those pictures are most definitely not from the E3 build of the game.

These cockpit shots are showing graphics beyond anything i've ever seen, they are truly awe-inspiring!!

Theres not many super cars with a central seating position like this so its pretty easy to guess what car this cockpit is from :)

Now, to be completely fair, those pictures don't tell the whole story. Due to their horribly quality, we really can't pick much of the problems the cockpits might actually have.

But it also works both ways, off screen pics also hide detail, but i do agree, off screen pics always look better than direct feed

Yea, that's pretty incredible. I ran it by a friend and he still doesn't believe it.

Che also confirmed that the dropping of vehicles is visual, as in you'll notice it being much closer to the ground etc.

I'm not much of a car nut, but everybody I've mentioned it to have gone crazy. I only have the most basic of understandings of weight reduction, and even then I may ultimately have no idea about what the hell I'm talking about.

I know friends that have stripped off a bunch of metal from their vehicle to make it lighter. Some have put on things like carbon fiber hoods, or put on roll cages, which they say adds weight, but at least gives them the capability to strip out even more metal that they, otherwise, would not have been able to strip out.

I mean, I don't know very much so somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the very notion that Forza 3 even accounts for weight reductions in a visual fashion strikes me as a bit mind blowing. They did this in how short a time-frame? What the hell would they achieve if they were given an extra year or two? Imagine what Forza 4 will be like?

I don't expect as great a graphics leap, but I expect they will blow minds with everything else they end up doing. Then I guess we have no idea just how far they may have gone with the livery editor this time around.

They do things like help improve the speed of the car, improve handling etc. One guy I know has even welded his car door shut. Not sure what the heck that does, but hey lol.

Well, i don't have any doubt that the final version will have Forza 2 damage level for the visual part. But i also didn't see it in the E3 version, just some scratches on the paint (but no big deformations like Forza 2) Can you post some vids?

But even if the visual damage level isn't on the same level as Forza 2 i wouldn't care about it. It's much more important that malfunction or broken parts reflects driving in a realistic way. And roll overs adds more realism to the gameplay/driving feeling than some visual stuff.

The screenshot of the Alfa Brera on Sedona is actually me manually adjusting the view slightly with the right thumbstick to look at the apex. When I play the game, I like to look into the turn as I take it for more immersion. :) But no, there is no auto look into the apex cam in the game. Good idea though.

The older screenshot above with the Citroen C4 cockpit is interesting because it's from an older build and we have since hand-tuned all 400 cockpit cams and pulled them back so you can see more of the cockpit and gauges. Feedback from that screenshot indicated that people felt like they were sitting too close to the wheel.

I've been playing through single player career all last week and I'm pretty damn addicted. I'm doing a podcast next week with Dan to discuss my impressions and compare notes to see if I'm playing it like how he expected people to go through the game.

The community interaction with T10 is great. A lot of fans thought the lights looked off, some shopped around some pictures and made them look more realistic by making the lights more transparent. Now T10 fixed them in their new build.

Yeh the interaction with the fans is brilliant, like the whole cockpit adjustment thing, i've never seen anything like it from any other developers.

Well they are a sensitive bunch over there. Some of the comments that come out of people's mouth are just ridiculous. In saying that the front page stuff on Forza 3 and GT5 is going that way to.

Thats very cool if they have made the glass on the headlights more transparent. I'm sure we'll get some shots of the very latest builds in the coming weeks. I still can't believe how they have done to the game in two odd years. Really have to take my hat off to turn 10.
