Inscrit depuis 7260 JoursI hope we get gameplay footage of Hades weapon when Kratos use them, looked very interesting, especially the move were he makes the weapon swing around him.
Inscrit depuis 6101 JoursI must say the game looks awesome and I think its a must buy but and there is this big but,the "replay value"

Buying games isnt cheap for some of us when each of them are like 599 to 699 SEK (swedish money) I am sure Simon can relate to this, so we cant just fork out on one time experiences if replayvalue isnt going to last much.
I just pre-ordered my Limited Edition of Bad Company 2 for PS3 which I am getting this Thursday so I dont have money to buy anything else this month other than that.
Then I am going to save up money for LP2 (if I decide on buying that).
I wish I could find one those shops that rent out games here, but there arent any :(
Inscrit depuis 6746 JoursIt's like comparing a summer blockbuster movie that's dumbed down yet fun for everyone while Bayonetta or NG are like smaller films that are quite brilliant but not everyone is going to be able to appreciate the movie.
I just think Sony needs to work on more games with depth and replay factor. Most of their big budget games are really great cinematic experiences, but none of them offer a very outstanding online experience of most of them are FAR too linear for any real replay potential. Killzone 2 tried but the deadzone etc really killed that game for a lot of people. Hence why it's online population isn't very big when compared to the level of hype around it.
Presentation is great, but it only goes so far...

The interesting thing is that boss fights in gow are not only multi-part, but when all basic combo-action is over... they are topped by some intriguing QTEs that extend the life of these epic battles, by giving 2nd chances to bosses as well... while most other games in the genre have the boss killed in one iteration, when its down :). gow level boss fights are unmatched!
Inscrit depuis 6101 JoursBecause if he is talking about any of those 2 games then I dont see any complicated gameplay at all in fact its far from it,those games you are to this day tha gemes in where you are in more control of your character, any shit you make in there its entirely your fault,
Like I said complicated gameplay where?
And Thor no just no,GoW doesnt have both things at all,it got graphics and a mediocre combat gameplay so it fall really short when you put it along side Bayonetta or Ninja Gaiden or DMC.

Inscrit depuis 6160 Jours...and yes gow has very satisfying and fun gameplay and no, not everyone likes very complicted combo systems and as ManThatYouFear has put the nail in... you just can't argue if Virtua Fighter or Dead or Alive are better games of the two... they are both great in their own accord...
...for me, gow is the best and perfect mix of everything + has best overall(apart from maybe gameplay which is still great, fun and 8/10 when compared with Japanese... and 10/10 if taken standalone) in the genre... I might have played down its gameplay had it been anything like anime/Japanese beat 'em ups!
Inscrit depuis 6746 JoursI just wish they wouldn't focus SO much on the "easily accessable" idea with GoW, as it keeps the game from being the type of game that is fun to play more than once. It's a hell of a ride the first time through, visually amazing etc... but in the end once you get past all the bells and whistles it's not much of an experience to come back to. Just my opinion of course.
