Oh my God!!!

I just finished the game! 52 hours with an average level of 48!!! That was such an awesome ending! I had tears in my eyes in the end!!! The ending sequence is around 20 - 30 min long!

OMG!!! THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING JRPG!!!



I'll post pictures and my impressions in a short while! I'm still teary eyed but in a very good way!!!

Just started disc 3 so I am far from the ending .... and I never want to reach the ending .... I am enjoying this game SOOOOOOOO much! :D

Btw ACE, your sig is sooooo right. I haven't enjoyed a JRPG in such a long time. Blue Dragon was fun but this game is far better!

If you plan on getting it just go ahead and import the asian version it'll cost you £26 instead of £39.99 and it's the same version we will get here :D

No way is this FAR better than BD, although this game has a better battle engine and is much harder I still prefer BD.. :D

BD (5/10 by EG) was great game, yepthe story was not realy deep, but all other aspects of the game was awesome. I can not say that LO soooo much better than BD for me

I dont know about you Jolli but right now I am liking Lost odyssey better but Blue Dragon was Also one of the best JRPGs I played - that didnt change :D

The guy that reviewed Blue dragon is known around eurogamer to be an anti MS guy. Blue Dragon was reviewed with a 9/10 when someone else played the jap verison but when the euro version was reviewed it was given a 5/10 and the previous review that game a 9/10 was pulled from the site ... I lost quite a bit of respect for the site since then but I still consider one of the best websites around.

Thats probably because LO is still fresh in your mind and you are excited to continue it, personally I always feel different towards a game whilst playing it than when I look back at the experience.

They are very close though, completely different styles aswell, I think I prefered BD because it was more Anime inspired, plus the story in BD was better paced, LO's story died in disc 3 for me and after that I never really got back into it.

I am so close to completing it but just can't be arsed lol.. :P

I think it's the same with everyone, feelings towards a game always change after it :D I will find out soon enough but so far even in mid game, I feel it's better, in fact better thand I felt mid-game in Blue Dragon.

I hear the Ending is SUPERB and VERY EMOTIONAL in Lost Odyssey so may be you should put in the extra effort and finish it. I honestly plan to do the same thing with Final Fantasy 12 ..... I'll try and look pas the horrible combat and the boring characters

EG's first BD review of the Japanese version read like a Preview if I remember correctly. Sounded like they gathered up info from the people who were currently playing the Japanese version, and then ran with that. Could have been one of the reason why it got pulled from their site I think. Especially since they did a complete 180 when they started playing the localized version.

I absolutely love Blue Dragon. I love the art direction, I like the lighthearted mood it has to it.

It doesn't attempt to be heavy on the story, but even so I liked the moments where they attempted to fill us in on the story. I enjoyed the characters a great deal and the moments where they tried to put some emotion into Blue Dragon totally connected with me. Some may think "oh here we go again this is the moment where I'm suppose to feel something or laugh, but it isn't working". It worked for me which is why I enjoyed Blue Dragon as much as I did. The quality is unmistakable.

In Lost Odyssey's case I did enjoy it more than Blue Dragon, but that isn't to take anything away from Blue Dragon. I love both, but I just really liked what Lost Odyssey did even more especially in the combat area.

In Blue Dragon moments where they stopped to talk with one another were a big deal for me and there are plenty of cool moments like that in Lost Odyssey.

Preview or not kenshin, it was a review and had a score at the end of it. it was their mistake not ours! but to give a game a 9/10 and then change that all the way to 5/10 sound suspect to me ... they just wanted to go with the flow of everyone giving the game a bad score .... anyyywaaaaay, this is all behind us now.
