Mass Effect - The Normandy - Main forum

Ok, so Im now level 12, and I still haven't done any of the main quest after becoming a spectre. But, I'm feeling really weak right now, Im trying to do side quests and Im just getting wooped, which is weird because I was kicking but on citadel. Maybe I just need to level up in the main quest, maybe it'll be a cinch right now, we'll see. And btw, this is in no way a complaint. One of my favourite parts of Morrowind is how impossible it was at the start, couldn't do any side quests pretty much, but that was awesome. Anyways, loving, the game is almost perfect, I just wish the main quest was over 20 hours :(. O well, can't have everything right?

alien 4 he was not in the others, anyway, as i say i will get a oter piccy lol... you can see it when the light is off him and you relise my shepard is rather gaunt in the face, he looks chubby in that pic lol

Heres a tip, Lift and push are very good assit powers, but spend as many points as possible in your main weapon and your squads main weapon, and select the ammo you use on a certain foe with care as this can be the difference in taking them down very quick or being owned by them.

The combat seems overwhelming at first but once you learn to work with (around?) the squad AI it is bloody fun! I would definitely be interested in an MMO with this universe and gameplay systems.

I found Liara to be the BEST squadmate you could possibly take with you if you level her up correctly. Shes just kicking but with her biotics. I had a biotic with my first character and it was just hilarious how we lifted all the bodys around us and pushed the enemys over cliffs constandly... ^^

Ok, that helped, but I was also right about my instinct on the side quests. I was just getting in over my head too early. Just completed the Liara quest line, no real problems there. I mean, I had to use tactics and think out battles, but it was very doable, very enjoyable combat, not a slaughter where pirates or biotic freak all swarm me and proceed with the anal.

Today the last level I played was in the same level were they did a walkthrough in X06...man it was was AWESOME!

My favorite music played (Dc knows which one I mean) and damn, felt like all the years of waiting and kept watching that walkthrough over 100 of times, finally I am in control :D

In that same level, the Geth dropship came with two Geth Armatures, my god it was huge and epic.

However, Halo 3 got lots of those which was jaw dropping for me, and now Mass Effect :D

Hey DC, I was playing ME yesterday (not at home of course), and my cousin asked me a question I didn't know the answer.

Can you train to use weapons like the sniper if your class is not supposed to use them? If not, why do they even let you chose them?

BTW, is it right to say the game only has four different guns?

As far as i know you cant, as a vangaurd, pistol and shotgun i can train in, when i try to use a sniper rifel or assault gun, no mastter what the stats of the weapon it has very little effect, i dont no why they let you equip them? i know if your squad are trained in the weapon you can equip them, maybe it has something to do with this New+ game that allows you to start with all your stats??, yes only 4 guns so far, but the fun is in modding the guns, that allow you to freeze\incinerate\shread\bypas sheilds the list goes on and on :)

Lebato - If you have read my post about how to unlock ANY weapon, meaning unlock "untrained" with any class that doesn't have the weapon, you gotta get achievements for that certain weapon.

For example...Vanugards are combat and biotics right, they can use assault, but they suck at it, can't even zoom and it says (untrained).

However, if you unlock "assault rifle achievement" then you can unlock the "untrained" for assault when you choose Vanguard or any other class that doesn't have assault.

So short in short...get the weapon achievement you want, and then you can unlock "untrained" with any class.

That is how it works. I haven't tried it, but I unlocked the assault rifle achievement yesterday, just forgot to try it out with for example Infiltrator which is omni-tool and pistol I think.

but when I am gonna play again I am gonna try it out and then confirm if it works or not ;)

They changed the name from Caleston to something else though.

I actually heard the first track when the combat started, I turned off all the sound except music to max...ripped it off, damn its soooo good :D

hmm might be a glitch, save were you are now, then re-load the save and from the mako press x then a to board the normandy.

Dc yeah, Feros was very cool, the atmosphere at the Skyway...holy shit beautiful

By the way, everytime I use my digital camera to take a image the screen looks like shit :S
It gets waves, the color aint the same...etc.
