Gamersyde is a commercial multiplatform web portal based in Europe, with hundreds of thousands of visitors each month from all over the world. We cover both handheld and video games platforms and the site has grown into one of the biggest gaming sites in the continent. We are able to offer fast news delivery and HD content from the upcoming games, and one of the greatest and friendliest gaming communities in the world. The HD content we provide always respects the original resolution and framerate of the games we capture, making Gamersyde the one and only place to get 1080p/4K/60fps videos with high bitrate. At a time when Youtube's subpar video compression has become the norm for most people on the Internet, we refuse to give up quality without a fight. We now also produce HDR videos, which can only be enjoyed by those who own compatible televisions. The content we produce is obviously not free of use should you want to upload our videos on your own website or YouTube channel.

If they honestly believe the line of bullshit they're touting, then they clearly don't know the PC audience very well at all. You want to make it so your fans can play the game? Since 7237 DaysEDIT: As for dividing the community, I think if anything it would just give them options. I want to play with modded maps, "I'm just going to click here" instead. Problem solved. Dividing the community is something like Bungie has done, those who have maps and those who don't, now that is a horrible decision.....I wouldn't be surprised if IW releases a $5 map, and then divides the community--would be the ultimate irony, but with these guys everything is possible now.

Since 6983 DaysThe problem (along with the way they've gone about it) is the removal of dedicated servers as an option. If say you could host private games on an IW.net server then it would be less of a big deal but as that distinction hasn't been made clear then I'm assuming everything will be P2P based. Doing this at the same time as raising the RRP, not clever. They've managed to handle this spectacularly badly. When exactly were they going to announce these new features before a throwaway comment on a podcast? It's 3 weeks from launch.
As it happens they've just incentivized a significant community to actively work round this issue and reverse engineer it, which is only going to help piracy. Quite a bizzare own goal.
