Gamersyde est un site de média-information consacré à l'actualité du jeu-vidéo consoles et PC, et spécialisé dans la production et diffusion de vidéos de haute qualité à très haut bitrate dans leur résolution et framerate d'origine. À l'heure où la compression vidéo exagérée devient de plus en plus la norme sur Internet, Gamersyde est le dernier petit village gaulois à encore résister à l'envahisseur Youtube. Toutes les vidéos sont disponibles en téléchargement et en streaming, jusqu'en 4K et 60 images par seconde dans les deux cas, et dans une qualité largement supérieure à celle de Youtube pour le streaming. Nous sommes également en mesure d'enregistrer des extraits de jeu en HDR pour les joueurs équipés d'écrans compatibles. L'intégralité de notre contenu est gratuit, et accessible en français ainsi qu'en anglais.

If they honestly believe the line of bullshit they're touting, then they clearly don't know the PC audience very well at all. You want to make it so your fans can play the game? Are you fucking serious? He also suggests that the thousands of fans complaining are just upset server providers. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? How fucking out of touch is this guy?
Who do they think the 100,000 people who signed that petition are? Are you telling me that more than 100,000 people asked for matchmaking at the expense of mods and dedicated servers?

Inscrit depuis 7610 JoursEDIT: As for dividing the community, I think if anything it would just give them options. I want to play with modded maps, "I'm just going to click here" instead. Problem solved. Dividing the community is something like Bungie has done, those who have maps and those who don't, now that is a horrible decision.....I wouldn't be surprised if IW releases a $5 map, and then divides the community--would be the ultimate irony, but with these guys everything is possible now.

Inscrit depuis 7356 JoursThe problem (along with the way they've gone about it) is the removal of dedicated servers as an option. If say you could host private games on an IW.net server then it would be less of a big deal but as that distinction hasn't been made clear then I'm assuming everything will be P2P based. Doing this at the same time as raising the RRP, not clever. They've managed to handle this spectacularly badly. When exactly were they going to announce these new features before a throwaway comment on a podcast? It's 3 weeks from launch.
As it happens they've just incentivized a significant community to actively work round this issue and reverse engineer it, which is only going to help piracy. Quite a bizzare own goal.
