Serously?! That's great news! When I finally get my AK back again along with the Ninja Pro perk, I'll be in full ninja mode to take out them nasty campers!

Yeah I'm currently equipped with Cold blooded pro- and Ninja pro-perk.. You don't show up on UAV, Heartbeat, Missle strikes and thermal scope. And you don't make a sound while walking... Good times

cod 4 for one. and yes, i do enjoy uncharted 2 more as well (it's a unique approach of combat and platforming so it stands out a lot more for me) and i like elements of killzone 2 online (the 'on the fly' match changes), but ultimately, cod4 was better online then all of those combined...including modern warfare 2.

Map preferences aside, I'm not sure how CoD4 is so much better than MW2 online. Even the overabundance of air vehicles, while annoying, is nowhere near as bad as the constant attack helicopters in CoD4. The lag will be sorted out as well as I'm sure MW2 isn't running on worse netcode that CoD4.

Finished the SP, damn the soon ending levels was awesome!
It was a wild ride for sure, and IW definitely knows how to keep you engaged in the story and intensity non-stop while Hans zimmer keeps making amazing music in the background, fantastic!

PS. damn Shepard for betraying, surprised the hell out of me when the fucker shot me and the other guy.

Aslong as the game only supports crappy P2P (or are they listen servers?), it will continue to suck.. Only proper way to play FPS games online on the PC is on dedicated servers in your area that offer good bandwidth with low pings..

It's rediculous MW2 forces me to play on P2P servers with pings up and over 100ms while I have a fiber connection with only 1ms latency to the biggest internet-exchange in the world (AMS-IX).. I also have a spare PC here that runs several dedicated servers for me and my friends, but for MW2 it's useless.. Go play on our crappy P2P network instead they say.. Ha, I think not!

So it's only private games for us where I'm the host.. Public games is not for us.. And heaven forbid more popular games on the PC start using this crappy console online system.. It will be the end of PC gaming as we know it.. Then the whole gamingmarket will have been consolized.. Dumbed down and restricted to create more control for the industry, easier to milk with premium DLC as there will be no more community created content, and make things easier for the big casual nontechie gamingmarket outthere.. For me and my friends it would probably mean no more reason to buy games, because that reason was the online part (with the ability to run your own dedicated servers, mods, custom maps, and what have you)..

Ohw, and I bought it because it was only 35,50 euro.. I would never pay full price for it, knowing the online MP is badly crippled..

And if the next CoD is the same it will be no buy at all anymore probably.. If they want it that way, they can have it.. Bye bye CoD on PC..

Consolegamers have no clue how restricted they are in their experiences.. That's mainly because they simply don't know any better, so nobody is complaining as it's all normal and accepted (P2P online play, no dedicated servers, no mods, no custom maps, paid DLC instead etc, even pay to play online).. PC gamers don't accept 100+ms P2P online gaming when they are used to 15+ years of dedicated server gaming with much more freedom..

Things started going downhill when FPS got ported to the (cheaper, easier to use, but way more restricted) consoles.. It's perfect for the industry, as they can control more, and can earn more money (i.e. by selling DLC because there is no more free stuff like on PC).. And aslong as the big majority of the market is also happy, because they don't know any better, it's all perfect..

Not so perfect though if you do know better, and see your FPS enjoyment that you had for almost 20 years go down the drain with more and more restrictions and less & less freedom.. Everything that got built up on PC gets broken down now.. And some wonder why we whine??

Do you honestly believe that dedicated servers could cater to millions of gamers for every single game? The part that PC gamers always forget is that their numbers are a fraction of the gaming population. Sure, dedicated servers are better, but when you're mainly going for efficiency and consistency for 3million players, hell no. A few hundred thousand? Sure. When I played UT2k4, it was a pretty big hassle trying to get a server that accommodated us all. We ended having to rent our own, and we all had to pay! PC gamers pay a premium for their gaming experience. Not only money for advanced hardware but building up knowledge of how to maintain and enhance their gaming experience. The majority of consumers do not have as much devotion or require it to get the same perceived pleasure for their gaming.

Is Activision taking advantage of PC gamers? Yes. Are console gamers to blame? No. We were already alright with the way we played our games from when the first Xbox came out. Activision could have let things stay the way they were with the PC version. It could have been $60 and no one would have been up in arms. That's like blaming the tenant for an apartment having faulty wiring. But I will definitely liken console gamers to apartment owners and PC gamers to having condos. Sure, condos are nicer, more expensive. But I'm not buying a condo. And you can be mad when a real estate owner decides to build apartments on a nice tract of land, but you are an ass if you blame the tenants.

It's not your fault that you are already wearing the shit eating grin then! I don't know.. consumer complacency is a big deal.. and it's everyone's problem.

I just don't know how someone can be critical when they bought the game though. Seriously... who cares if it was on sale!

PS. Dedicated servers could definitely cater to millions of gamers. EA's been doing it (horribly) all generation. But just because they fail at administering their dedis doesn't mean it's not possible. If they would open the platforms up a little more, and allow people to buy/sell/rent/run their own servers, the internet and gaming communities around the world would have no problem keeping up with the numbers.

Finding games is taking an awful long time today

Turned out, for some odd reason, my NAT had jumped to 'strict'. Fucking crap router. I've set it up differently now and I'm getting open NAT again...

Edit: Seems I was being a bit too optimistic. My NAT is open, but I'm still not getting into any games. Crap...

If you want to talk very poor FPS console game... on Xbox LIVE... that would be COD2. IW has learned greatly from that abysmal failure... and now with CODWM2 have made a compelling and fun game on LIVE.

I am a bit confused.. I've already got like 24 hours clocked on multiplayer in the last 4 days and I've played in like 2 laggy games so far... (360 version btw)

For me it's horrible sometimes. Even to the point that when I get a headshot, that "HEADSHOT" sign that appears, almost appears at the same time my shot registers...it's really that bad.

Edit: Actually, I don't think that makes any sense. It probably always does that. What I mean though, is that there's often a massive delay between me firing the gun, and the shot registering at the target. Especially in Teambased matches. This is most noticable when firing with a sniper.
