but whatever, I'm not in this. I'll just go back to playing Eternal Sonata for the time being, til Mr.Bungie fixes its Crackdown issue :)
ready for Bear season?
I like the Trusty Bell demo a lot. But I also think there are ways that it could be a lot better. There are a lot of things about the game that seem well.. stuck in the past. The genre needs to evolve on more than a combat level.
Halle Berry: Delgado i am feeling really reall dirty tonight, shall i call Jessica Simpson for a threesome?

Dragon Quest had a cool system that allowed you to make new items from old stuff you pick up and the only way to find new recipes was trial and error.
Star Ocean 3 had an awesome system where you could make stuff.
Grandia 3 had a system that made you experiement with crystals to find new spells.
Many Japanese games have these systems, I believe Eternal Sonata has the bakery system that is common from most tales of games.
There are many form of creativity, customizing your character seems pretty bog standard in relation to some of the stuff that can be found in JRPG.
But then i guess you wouldn't know as you don't play the genre much.
Marumaro for the WIN !!
Maybe just a tiny bit irrelevant though. :D

I just think it could be better.. thats all. I'm still plenty interested in playing the game really. I do think that you can have all of those things (exploration, customization, combat, and story) in spades in a game that still has great combat and a coherent story.. but I'm not saying this game is too much worse off for not being the game to move things into the future a bit more for JRPG's.
/me also reflects that the entire post could be transformed into a DOA fan going on about how VF5 "should've changed more by now", that it's "the same as VF2" and that the arenas should be more vast because technology allows it.
/me then flies off in a pretty cool jetpack construction, without a helmet, because he's adventurous and wild like that.
