Sath, HBO means Ambient Occlusion
About the HBO, had to check google images for a simple "know", and now I know what it is. Well I dont notice much between high and medium settings stuff like shadows and such, better I guess because then it means i am one step closer to better perfomance :)
But even when I had HBO on it ran pretty great.
If only 360 controller support was confirmed, I want to pre-order the Limited Edition either version I am getting.
I have the aim sensitivity to like 40%-45% and it does wonders to remove the clunkyness I had in the beginning (learn Guerilla Games).
I was killing left and right, and one awesome thing is that unlike some other shooters, spraying in a medium+long distances wont hit the enemy most of the time, so short burst like 5 shots or 2-3 and it will make the job done.
I kept doing that for like 10 minutes without dying and kept throwing ammo for myself and my teammates nearby, great stuff really.
According to BC2 Twitter they said BC2 wont have 360 controller support, its all mouse+keyboard *sigh* why have "joystick" in the options if they say its not going to be available? doesnt make any sense.
Some say the joystick is for the flight controls, and I think the 360 controller wont work considering how the UI is made, its obvious its made for PC and mouse stuff. Though they could have made it like Crysis were you move the arrow with right analog stick, even though its tedious and slow and useless.
Ah well, I will pick the PS3 version :)
"First come smiles, then comes lies. Last is gunfire"
But I know I am doing the right thing by going with PS3 version if I consider a controller instead.
I can't wait to grab the Limited Edition, I like the 1943 weapons that comes with it, the M1911 handgun and M1A1 submachine gun from BF 1943 :)
PS. I hope the console game has server browser, because I hate matchmaking. I want to choose what level and how many players before entering.
"First come smiles, then comes lies. Last is gunfire"
But still, have to widen the fingers and moving the hand every few seconds to different buttons..etc. is annoying. But on controller, all the stuff you need is right there next to eachother.
But thats me really, I prefer the controller for my gaming :)
I also don't get this "clunky" talk at all. Movement and aiming aren't clunky at all.
I'm sad that the beta ends tomorrow. I want a demo now.

I have little reason to even try it on the Xbox.

The clunkyness is what i mean its "weighty", I didnt feel this on PC when I played it, must be the button movement and mouse movement that doesnt make you realize it, did for me anyways when using analogs. Its kind of like KZ2, alot of the shaking when moving and aiming too much unlike say COD were everything is somewhat very steady. I dont know how to explain it in more detail, but I guess I am thinking more of KZ2 than BC2 because BC2 does it better to make it feel weighty but not feel weird with the controls.
Maybe if you play KZ2 and then switch BC2 and using a controller you will understand what I mean.
There's a 25% damage bonus being rewarded to body shots for certain weapons in the full game, which I suppose I can appreciate, but I'm not sure how we're suppose to truly gauge weapon balance in this beta. There is a body armor specialization (which I predict replaces light-weight, boo!), loads of additional weapons, etc. in the full release. Sure, the S20K is overpowered now, but how are we supposed to know if that will be the case when everyone has all their gear unlocked?
I guess we'll wait and see. Hopefully they'll take a very hands-on (Valve!) approach to balance post release. I want them to tweak the shit out of this game if it's necessary. The ball is in your court, DICE!
PS. I'm officially psyched.
PS. I'm officially psyched.
And yeah I am psyched as well.
I played from 11.30 night to 2 in the morning yesterday with in-ears plugged in and had "war tapes" as a audio option, had so much fun!
The reason why I played so much was because I think/thought the demo would go offline on 25th along with the PC beta so I wanted to play it alot.
Can someone tell me why it takes so much time to re-stock grenades and grenade launcher compared to regular ammo?
I throw the ammo box and I see and hear the ammo is being refilled. But it takes more time to let the grenade launcher and grenades to refill, dont know why?
But its not a bit deal, just wanted to know why.
Ah well, its all good.
