I always thought there could be those people who just refuse to care less.

Which is kind of equal to a 5 year old kid saying he "can't" lift the 2 ton car, even though, with more weight training and confidence, he probably could.
We just settle on the "fact" that he can't.

So when they say they could care less, but they don't, they are aware of their affliction, and we should just accept that they couldn't

I think you should be able to see the difference between a well animated and amazing lighting scene indoor/narrow streets versus a Jungle setting....

You can't be serious and say that stuff looks better than the BF3 footage....
Animations are great I agree in BF3 crysis is not good.

That pic was vanilla but with mod and maxed out nothing comes close. So what if it runs like crap it looks unreal :O

All the scripting appears to be very similar to COD from that video. Maybe the levels themselves provide a bit more freedom though, but the action presented in that video is identical to what you see in COD games. Obviously the graphics are on another level, so if they manage to make it at least a bit fun to play, it might be actually a worthwhile experience.

Of course, the core of the game is MP, so it's not tooimportant what the campaign provides.

I think that's why I find these comments so freaking ridiculous. This game is going to set itself apart from Call of Duty in so many ways that I can't really figure out why people would care if the campaign takes queues from that franchise. Honestly.. Battlefield Bad Company 2 didn't have a very compelling campaign, so if this is at least a fun distraction from the real game, than who cares? Saying stuff like, "This year's Call of Duty..." is just tiring. And lets try not to forget for a moment that Call of Duty didn't invent scripted scenarios in the first place. Identical to Call of Duty? The gameplay surely isn't... so even if mission design is... why make such ridiculous comments?

And the gameplay is what is so appealing to me! I'd say SP is the place for scripted excitement, even though I'm sure it will be much more open than COD, and the MP is for the replay component....

Why so irritated? I am clearly commenting the campaign footage DICE has shown, not any multiplayer stuff. Even COD MP plays very differently to COD SP. And the BF3 campaign stuff looks identical to typical COD campaign affair. That's all.

To distance themselves away from Call of Duty Dice should have killed the single player mode altogether and only focused on the multiplayer mode exclusively

lol no. I am not PC gamer but my cousin is and I have seen enough of it. There is no second thought which is best on PC. I think most PC gamers choice is Metro 2033 interiors but overall it is still this game. BF3 like killzone game is more cinematics and they obviously improved the engine for gaming PC.
