Mortars aren't even the worst example of fire and forget. Claymores, anyone? And lets give all the heavy explosives to the kit with the ammo bag. Kit design is suspect.

Mortars, EOD, and others are also mostly useless in Conquest.

I'm loving the game completely but yeah the mines are mildly irritating. Drive all the way across the map to cap a flag and get blown to shit in one go...fair enough I should be aware that this is a possibility but a one hit kill on the main tanks is a bit annoying.

first game in a long time that has wowed me so much, also extras like the hd textures pack are a must. Don't know what people are talking about, the game looks amazing on the 360, I've played it maxed on a pc and most of the difference are atmospheric and textures, but still the console looks amazing, like the 360 is like 6 years old and its still pumping this out, pretty cool.

As well as all this the multiplayer is cool, jets are a mystery to me, first time i got in one, I took off and crashed straight into a helicopter carrying my whole team. ha, but thats what makes battlefield great. Game gets a 10/10 for me.

One mine won't take out a tank I don't think. Which is why I usually pile 3 mines together ^___^


Engineer is probably the most played class in this game. There are so many vehicles flying around I find it hard to believe it's not the most important.
You're forced into this class if your noob team isn't using them.

I've seen more assault class then anything. Probably because they get the long range assault rifles. Sadly 70% of them dont even try to revive you or even throw down health when you request it. Obvious they're playing that class purely for the weaponry.

I see a lot more active medics than I see people actively supporting squads with the support class. Sometimes I wonder if they even know they have ammo bags.

Well, you get 300-400 rounds to play with. When you don't need it yourself you tend to forget about it. I constantly have to request ammo from friends playing in my squad.

Bad habits! I drop health constantly, pretty much instantly when I spawn on my squad. Support needs to do the same. Its free points.. come on!

What's up with these fucking Stingers/Iglas? Most of the time I get taken out by these with a single shot at full health. That can't be right, I could never do that myself. Sometimes it took no less than 3 shots to take down a Heli.

M249 is a beastly gun. Now I understand why it's killed me so many times.

The UMP is dead to me. Might as well shoot styrofoam.

I really dig the multiplayer on this game. The singleplayer is pretty decent too.

This game could be phenomenal on multiplayer if not for this...

The game sucks for clans. (Xbox 360 mind you) Going back to the original Xbox, in games like Ghost Recon... you could set up a private match and everyone on your team could hear one another.. none of this flaky squad stuff.

They should make the game more clan friendly and make it so you can set up matches against another team, with your own perimeters... no launchables etc.

This game has so much going for it, but the non-ability of not being able to set up your own server, and the communication foibles in BF3 sucks.

I love reading clueless people brag about how stance delays enhance their ability to enjoy a game by limiting how much skill your opponent can use in kicking your ass.

That's a half ass rant but I'm half asleep.

Anyway, I'm finally at the point where I'm getting the better weapons/unlocks. Loving it. Playing Support almost exclusively since the M249 is my Top Weapon. Seriously, Bipod + IRV + Extended mag and Mortar gadget = Heaven. Just love it to bits.

ARGH! i keep getting this but, that i get in a game, and immediately start shooting!, uncontrollably. no really, and if i enter a vehicle, it starts moving forward. exited the game, restarted the pc, nothing worked. yesterday managed to make a couple of games. today, zero. anyone heard of this before?

BTW the in game AA sucks, if you want to get rid of the jaggies just enable GPU AA, I am using edge aa at the moment :D minimal performance hit

Again after playing an evening of BF3 on Xbox LIVE, this squad chat and lobby system is a bunch of baloney.

This game will never be taken as seriously from a clan perspective on Xbox LIVE, if you can't set up a proper clan match.

Love the game... but voice/communicaton/lobbies sucks big time. (on Xbox 360 anyways)

This game isn't well suited to competition play period. Hopefully things take hold despite that.

I beg to differ... some great clan competition for games like Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon Island Thunder,
Rainbow Six, Gears of War, Halo 2, 3, etc, and many, many more titles on Xbox... even Call of Duty.

Consoles have been having great clan matches, ladders since Xbox Live launched on the original Xbox, way back when.

I don't know where you've gotten your information from. And with Xbox Live, most have headsets and standardized chat that works
for the team(s). BF3 fails miserably in this area.
