Not sure about Chinatown, I wasn't a big fan of the original in COD2.
Haven't seen Killhouse properly yet, but loaded it up for a private game and seems a bit.... naff... think the soft cover may be interesting though
Also you can play them in system link and split screen which pleases me... Creek is massive, so split screen free for alls would be a laugh.
I also think Creek is a PERFECT Capture the Flag map, if they ever add it
I got very dissapointed after bought this map pack. Guess i will play the old map`s.....
Hey, I'm just like you. I put my pants on one leg at a - dammit, I knew I forgot something today.
Broadcast is brilliantly thought out level design. Every single area of it creates amazing firefights and it's balanced well between large open area combat and the closer corridor style encounters. Creek also works well in this regard. While it is excellent for sniping it also has many sections suited to close/medium range combat.
Chinatown I'm not as excited about. It's a great map but I've played it before in COD2 basically and I am finding it very hard to get familiar with the layout. There's so many buildings with similar interior layouts that it makes it hard to remember which one is which. Killhouse is only in cage match and team tactical at the moment so I haven't really had a chance to play it yet. I played one cage match on it and it was OK.
I'm happy with the maps but it does seem like they should have been free.
Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Has it been five years? Six? It seems like a lifetime.
Read this over at fourzerotwo's blog. It's a bit ambiguous but to me it sounds like they could be free on the PC. I can't imagine that announcing a price for these maps on PC would be considered good news.

If you read the newest post on the blog there is some interesting information about the community maps. I'm very interested to hear more about that.

If they put a price tag, any decent PC gamer would just laugh at such stupidity.
If they don't put a price tag, selling them for the Xbox 360 would be just too hypocritical.
Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!

i enjoyed them though
but... im kinda board already... lol
i'll deffo have a week more of playing em though
they are well made and well put together
if they release another pack though, i'll rather have the money, i can buy a few pints for that.
It's a decent map pack overall - I don't feel ripped off but I still think these DLC's are overpriced in general.
Broadcast is my favorite by far. Excellent map. And they all look excellent. I've been bouncing between RB6Vegas2 and COD4, and there is a big difference graphically. COD4 still owns RB6's Unreal Engine.
I can't wait to see what other DLC maps they come up with at IW and with the user created maps too.

I've seen the maps, they're nice. Chinatown is really quite neat... it took me a minute to recognize the different parts of the map with the extremely alternate tile set. They all look pretty nice--but not 1/5 (or 1/6th) the total cost of a retail game nice--and certainly not divide and conquer your own audience nice.
Some of these winning maps should be appearing on consoles
Some of the maps at the above link, look pretty good.
This is me speculating only:
I'd expect them to announce winners before the end of April, IW artists to get their hands on the maps to adjust them Balance, test, tweak improve them through May, June, Testing in July off to certification in August and in our hands before September.
With the new DLC causing LIVE to come to a screeching halt for some of Friday the day of their release, I sure it is lining their coffers. I'm betting heavily that IW has plans to come out with 2 or 3 more DLC offers in the next year... just don't nickle and dime us to death and give us the user created maps for free.
We have launched the official Mod Tools for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the PC and to celebrate, we’re holding a ‘Community Mapping Contest’ which allows you, the community, to take map making into your own hands and create custom multiplayer maps for the #1 selling game of 2007.
What’s your dream map? Wide open spaces perfect for sniping, or close quarters combat with plenty of cover to bound back and forth from? Maybe a nice mixture with plenty of avenues to attack from and some perfect choke points you can ambush from with the right amount of team work. Whatever you think makes a good multiplayer map, we want to see it. Most importantly, we want your best work.
On March 31st, we’re going to be choosing our favorite community made maps and award the map makers of our favorites picks with special prizing and opportunities which we can’t announce just yet but will be in the very near future (probably within a week). However the clock is ticking to get your map designed, as I said, we’ll be choosing our favorite community made custom multiplayer maps on March 31st.
1 - Design your maps around your platform of choice (PC, Xbox 360, or PS3); as you never know where it could end up.

I love the CTF mod too, but it needs some work. Some maps just aren't suitable for 32 player CTF matches. 32 players + 3 choke points + 2 flags = fail! It would be fantastic for 5v5+ though.
What the fuck do you need dead silence for when you're camping in a corner with an M16? ;)
