The demo was pretty rough yeah, but we are sort of working under the assumption that it will get "fixed". All the features in the world don't fix a broken core.

one mans broken core is another mans juicy apple...lol the "demo" was perfectly fine as far it plays imo. more fun than other "sims" on the market, but not so arcady it becomes the next burnout. the mix was certainly better then what the PGR series did imo. that game just felt confused.

i'm not a fan of the GT series, i's about as low on my list of game franchises as final fantasy is, but much like FF13, i'm buying the most recent games in the series because from what i've heard/played, they've changed enough to appeal to me this time around.

everyone is complaining about FF13 not having towns, not having open areas to explore, more linear, no grinding, but honestly, THAT sounds better then every FF game to date. the way GT handles has finally got me interested now. the tire squeal is annoying sometimes, but the fact i can now drift around a corner with ease rather then slowing down is awesome. sure it isnt a sim, but really, what is, forza certainly isnt, but in terms of driving games, it's as close as we're going to get on consoles.

I think you just described GT5 as is right now. PGR can't be confused, it's not like they ever claimed to being any kind of simulator, much less "the" simulator--or have a massive blind following who can't tell what the heck a real car does in real life.

And I don't think it has to come to an awesome driving simulator, it just has to have a great driving model--PD has trouble with both. Even an arcade racers can have crappy driving models. Did you guys play that off road game by THQ with bikes, buggys, trucks, etc? That has to be the most sorry ass excuse for a driving model I have played for a long while. Motorstorm's model is also whacked, I never understand what the excitement was all about. The same for GRID.

Burnout has always had a great driving model, and so has PGR (specially PGR2). It's a feeling of you having control over that car regardless of what they are trying to accomplish, two way communication between the controller and the game.

Comparing PGR to GT is flat out retarded and shows little understanding of what makes either game good in it's own respoect. PGR's driving model is so fucking polished it is VERY rare to find a game with as much polsih in the gameplay department.

GT's latest delay is annoying as fuck, but I still think PD will deliver a great game. After the demo I have little faith the game will be the graphical powerhouse we were hoping and the demo shows racing physics that certainly don't match Forza 3, but all in all I'm still sure with all the options and features that GT5 will be a very great game and well worth the money.

It might not be as polished as Forza in the gameplay/physics department, but i'm betting it will be close enough that very few will be able to tell much of a difference. I have no doubt when it finally does ship it'll be a day one purchase for me, as is every GT game.

My point was GT isn't touted to be a hybrid of the two genres. I just brought it up because someone was comparing it to PGR which I didn't get considering GT is supposed to be pure sim. The fact that someone even compared it to the physics of PGR says something, but I couldn't really comment much since I haven't played the latest demo. You're taking this the wrong way Lebato.

Anyway, I have played GT5p and my main problem is the cars never really feel attached to the road.

The thing is GT5 claims to be a simulator (Which it is not) and PGR never did, its straight up arcade racing ever since MSR was first released. The problem with GT5 is that it never feels like your driving a real car, its like PD cant seem to get their driving model to evolve. What they have now is neither simulation or arcade, I will go as far as saying PGR (especially PGR2) does a better job of representing the performance of a real car in many cases.

BTW, Here is yet another stunning trailer of the game, PD's ability to create beautiful trailers never fails to impress me!

OPM (I think) confirmed Indy cars, and now they also confirmed that what they confirmed on their previous issue, is now no longer confirmed--so no Indy cars, lol.
