Yawn, I'm so tired of pictures. I'm not looking any more without real footage. Seriously, all of these racing games do it, and they are all full of crap. Give me some gameplay!

I bet they are waiting for the year initial gow3 mayhem to settle down to finally lift the embargo.. see how gow3 was a casual affair a couple of weeks back and Uncharted 2 seemed untouchable? see how media got the frenzy all over it and its on everybody's minds now... GT5 is already at King's throne, I bet its coverage is gonna be ridiculously insane in coming months !

I don't care too much for nascar either, but they finally showed night racing in a new trailer. Crappy quality, but the city environments look pretty great.

LOL at the music, that Prodigy song is completely worn out for racing games. I think it's even in Forza 3.

I won't be judging graphics from that--or any GT trailer? But great to see night racing, although it's looking like a one track deal again. I was hoping it would be something that you could use on all tracks. The same goes for weather. We'll see.

Anyways, even with that video quality, you can tell the car models are just......wow.

Pretty damn awesome details. I love the in-car cameras, even though it's too bad how you can see all the shadow aliasing. I just guess that's not something we'll see in this generation's racing games.

One thing I keep getting excited about is how amazingly well done GT's fantasy tracks usually are. I can't wait to see what great tracks designs they come up with for this game!

If the physics are as polished as the rest of the game seems to be, there is no reason this shouldn't be a true classic by all means

Physics and controls should be first, and from the demo they were not as good as the other racing game. But they are well and beyond jokes like Shift and GRID, or pretty much every other racing game out there on consoles, again except that other racing game.

Even if they don't catch up to that other game, I still think the game will turn out epic. I'm really excited about the rally stuff and I love their rear camera from in the cockpit.

I agree the controls were not as great as hoped in the demo, but I have faith in PD to do us right.

We thought it was, but then several sources said otherwise. Then OPM said all cars would include an interior view, and the only difference was going to be no damage. Now, OPM also said Indy cars would be included which turned out to be bullshit, so it's all a mess now. No one knows anything really, nothing is set in stone for this game.

Yeah, I think that's as straightforward as it gets. Even if there was an interior view for all of them, the "less detailing" part was never mentioned this way, so that makes me think nothing is lost in translation and what we heard on that information leak a long time ago is indeed true (vast majority of cars will look out of place compared to premiums).

I don't know, I've been so up and down with this game I don't know what to think anymore.

I'm just gonna hope this is a mistake or something. If a lot of the cars in the game don't have an interior view nor as much detail that's gonna be annoying, but the lack of interior view is what I'm really worried about. But it also depends on how many cars are lacking this camera.

But considering how long the game has been in development I just cannot imagine the game not being really great. I guess time will tell.

It'll be annoying as hell. At least Forza 3 is uniform in that regard. Of course, some models do look better than others, but there is not ONE model without a rendered interior, or without damage.

I just think it will be really dumb, but we'll see.

I said this when the whole "Premium" car thing was announced, its one of the most ridiculous ideas that i've ever seen! Imagine racing online and you see two cars collide, one of them has doors flying open and the other is completely fine as though you were watching an episode of Knight Rider.

The problem is that premium models take a lot of time to create and we wanted to include many more vehicles than before. To make premium versions of all the cars we want to put in would take ten years or more and I don’t think people are prepared to wait long!

Why bother putting 1000 cars into the game if you can only make 170 properly??? They've simply bitten off far more than they can chew and will end up releasing a substantially unfinished game.

i always assumed all cars will have interiors, but only the premium cars would have interior DAMAGE/damage in general. i'm perfectly fine with that. but if it is indeed as you say, and only say, 200 even have interiors, then it seems pretty stupid. they're paying for perfection it seems. if they didnt have such high standards when it came to the cars, it wouldnt be much of an issue, but then at the same time, that perfectionist attitude is why a lot of people love GT...it's a double edged sword.

hopefully it's how it was said to be before tho, where 'only' 200 have damage modeling, inside and out.

I still cant understand how anyone can be happy with this inconsistency, i know its not as bad as the new info but come on, is this really acceptable after 6 years in the making? I'm sure if they announced the total car count to be around 500, they could modelled all of them properly with full damage in time and nobody would think less of the game.

I don't really see a problem with some cars having full interior damage vs some that don't. I'm not expecting to see insane visual damage anyway so I doubt this inconsistency will have that big of an impact. In terms of premium vs standard, I think visually/graphically the cars are still rendered with the same detail, it's just the varying amounts of damage. I know in forza3 I can never seem to get the bumpers to fall off on some cars while on others they drop off pretty easily and you can see the car frame/subframe.
