Games can be really good in different ways.

CoD4 sings to me, personally, as I am a big fans of team/class/objective gameplay because it rewards more styles, thus more player types.

What I think Halo 3 is doing with social gaming is cutting edge. Do I think Halo 3 could have done more in the game mechanics without breaking Halo? YES! They did in Halo 2 and people loved duel wielding and vehicular countermeasures. But you take what you can get, and I am sure 8M Halo fans are drooling.

Did u play it on legendary?......

I think you should've instead played on legendary!
I've been playing like 15 hours or so to complete the whole campaign with 1 friend of mine on legendary... Sometimes it was really hard and coming up with new tactics to get past a section was actually pretty fun!

But it depends on what you wanted, I guess u finished the game and thought it was a nice experience so it's all good :D

^^ Nice stealth troll. Clearly it isn't the PDZ engine and I've seen no problems with the frame rate, or even any problems being widely reported on.

Personally I'm not convinced on this 640p stuff either until I see a framebuffer grab.

So lets kibosh that little discussion before it begins ok?

After a handful more games tonight.. I'm loving Isolation, I love Epitaph, I love Last Resort, and I love Guardian. I'm not really sure about the other maps yet.. though I still have a lot of fun on Valhalla. It was at one point my least favorite beta map, but it grew on me quite a bit. It's a great map for sniper matches. I sorta hate Construct, but then again I've only played it like once so far.

I got a little frustrated at match making tonight. Shotty-Snipers came up four times in a row. I love sniping as much as the next guy, but that's a little excessive. I only got like, two BTB games in, but they were good fun. I really want to try single flag on Last Resort.. see if it can't bring back some of that Zanzibar magic.

MP looks great. I can remember when people swore the campaign would like "two to four times better" than multiplayer. Well that didn't happen. There are some pretty awesome looking segments in the campaign, but none that blow away Guardian or Last Resort visually. There are a few things about MP that I do find a little disappointing though. No hornets, no fire grenades, no scorpions, barely an energy sword or flamethrower in sight.. oh.. and the current state of Big Team Battle. They can easily fix most of these issues, and I hope they do. I have a feeling the energy sword will continue to be rare for all time now, which is a shame, because the gravity hammer sucks by comparison.

Overall I'm pretty pleased by the depth of options presented to us in MP, and I'm intrigued by the possibilities when it comes to custom game types that can be created with the help of Forge. They should totally have a "Crazy Shit" play list in match making where they take the best of what players can offer in custom games types and offer them up for everyone to take part in as a community.

Phaethon told me he loved saved films earlier -- but was unsure of Forge. I then told him we never would have had Rocket Racing if it wasn't for Forge, and I think he's changed his mind :)

All things considered, I liked the campaign but I thought bungie played it a little safe and delivered what is ultimately a pretty standard Halo experience. That's enough to sell me on four player co-op.. but I could more easily pick apart their decisions in the campaign than what we see in MP.. especially since most of the real issues I have with MP can be fixed with time and effort, and Forge. The campaign is perminent.

I don't think they should rely on the community to insert fire grenades and hornets into the MP experience though -- they should find a way to fit them into the BTB play list instead.
