Prepare To Drop!!
I'm ready, and my Celtics won tonight going up 3-2 against the lakers, with a chance to close the series out and take the championship in game 6. I'm happy!!

Ray Allen even tends to play better on the road than he does at home. He's also been literally non-existent from the three since his unbelievable game 2 performance, but he's found other ways to contribute and help out the team. Sooner or later, and I hope its on Tuesday, those shots are going to start dropping for Ray again. Garnett is on his game, Pierce is playing far more aggressive, Rondo has found his game, the bench is coming up big for us on both ends of the floor.
It isn't impossible that Lakers could win Game 6 and 7, but rest assured the fact that those next 2 games are in LA, means nothing. If it's a friendly crowd that the Lakers are hoping will give them the edge, then that's already a very dangerous mind set. All Boston needs to do is go out there and execute on offense and defense, like they have been. Be aggressive on those loose balls, cut down on silly mistakes and turnovers, and avoid early foul trouble. All the available weapons they have are coming together at the perfect time, I think. Garnett is really something else in the last few games, Pierce is finally realizing that there's no way Artest should've been capable of guarding him from the start (really bad footwork by Artest, and Pierce is just the quicker of the two) The Celtics are also wisely pushing the ball inside aggressively, putting the right kind of pressure on LA's defense that just doesn't seem properly capable of adjusting to it.
We are doing well to keep Artest out of the series offensively, and are putting the right kind of pressure on Fisher. Kobe will go off, but on many occasions, he's taking some truly horrific shots, and no matter how many he manages to make later, he'll hurt his team with some of that bad shot selection. There will be times when those chucked threes don't drop for him, and if Boston capitalize offensively, LA are in some trouble.
I mean, for one, what reason exactly have the Lakers been unable to play their game, play basic defense like keeping an eye on their man, or hit shots? It surely isn't because of the court they're playing on. Also, no home court advantage helps with the kind of lax defense that LA showcased tonight. Celtics got a number of really easy inside shots. It comes down to the execution on defense and offense, home court won't help that.
Look at what the Celtics have done to Cleveland and Orlando at home. Another big thing to focus on, is the fact that LA hasn't been having very production 4th quarters consistently in this series. Some of the most lopsided quarters in favor of the Celtics have been the Fourth quarters, this is even true in one or two games LA has won. They haven't been finishing well.
I'm well aware that Lakers ARE capable of beating the Celtics, but I wouldn't hold much stock in the fact that Lakers are playing on their home court. Another huge factor is Pierce usually plays lights out in close out games, and, again, if Ray Allen's threes are dropping, and celtic's are getting defensive stops, be on the lookout for a very ugly game for LA. The possibility of Boston having a championship celebration on LA's court is high.

But I have to admit, they are playing killer defense and getting way more easy looks and rebounds than LA's size should ever allow for. If I was Kobe I would go back and fucking bitch slap every big in the face for that pathetic excuse of basketball (especially defense) shown tonight. Hey Kobe, come to chicago, we at least have hustle and heart and possibly Lebron if the rumors are true
Either way, it's been a really fun to watch series. Winning in LA isn't easy, but like Ops said Boston is a great road team and they have a ton of momentum after winning. BUT, beating the Lakers three games in a row is gonna be a VERY hard thing to do, especially with an angry Kobe on the court. I'm not sure who is gonna win the finals, but I'd be pretty shocked if we don't see a game seven.
Now someone punch Rondo in the mouth like he did Miller back on that bullshit no call from one of the greatest playoff series of all time
Kobe has been mad after every loss. Kobe was mad after their game 2 loss. Kobe was surely mad after their game 4 loss, he must've come into game 5 mad as well. Kobe being mad doesn't seem to lead to the kinds of results that it led to when someone like Michael Jordan was pissed off.
I've come to notice that, for all the Michael Jordan comparisons that get tossed around, Kobe is truly no Michael Jordan, and he's proving that in this series. Even if he were to win the championshipt, that wouldn't change. He gets big numbers, but he also does so many things that hurts his team. The reason why most can't, or don't bring themselves to acknowledge this fact, is because Kobe drops these huge numbers then all is forgiven. He shares a great deal of the blame for not getting his team involved more and trying to do it all himself. When he goes off in some of the ways that he does, and gets into this mindset that he needs to do it all himself, he's indirectly playing RIGHT into the Celtic's hands, if they are executing offensively. It makes Celtic's job on defense even easier. It ensures the Celtics are able to get back on transition even faster after one of those missed long bombs from Kobe, which won't always drop for him. I think we've seen far too many times now that there is a blue print for breaking Kobe Bryant. I don't believe there was a true blueprint for breaking Michael Jordan, and that's the difference between the two men.
Yea, Kobe made a ton of shots for them in the third that kept them in it, but he also took a number of really stupid shots, and made a number of very sloppy passes that contributed to their being down, or getting pounded in the first place.
Ray Allen is my favorite player in nba history, after Michael Jordan himself, and I believe strongly that Ray Allen's horrible shooting performance costed Boston that Game 3 win when Boston had all the right things clicking at exactly the right time. Even Pierce, who didn't have a very strong game, delivered when it mattered. Garnett was an absolute monster in that game! The celtics were playing lock down defense for most of the third and 4th quarter, and each time they brought it down to 1 or 2, they, like a good team does, went right back to a great shooter in Ray, and he naturally took the open looks. Everyone is human, but no player of Ray Allen's calibur should ever have a performance like that. Everybody knows Kobe can score, but he hasn't completely mastered putting it together properly when there's a team that is well equipped enough to push back and not blink when he goes off offensively.
Most Important Boston doesn't need to beat Lakers 3 times in a row, they just need to beat them once. :P The games that have already taken place are the past, they no longer exist. Boston now needs to focus on 1 win. I feel, if Boston plays this game right tuesday, on every possession, on every shot, Lakers will be thinking about the possibility that the celts could be celebrating a championship on their home floor, the very team they got embarrrassed by in 2008. If Boston gets a decent enough lead, the Lakers may cave altogether.

That trailer didn't look anywhere quite as good as the actual live gameplay demonstration. Shame they chose to release the trailer like that.
