IF they bother to make all the code for it to be used in SP i'm sure a team as clever and talented as Bungie could easily find a way to make it part of a great MP experience as well.

If anything it would make for a great transition between two space stations each team is trying to take over, and some players are dog-fighting between the bases while the rest are doing regular combat in the bases. Not sure if you could pull all that off w/ the limited player count though lol.

Anyhow, I liked what I saw, for the first time in a long time I remember that CE magic. This game might just be the one to finally rival the game that started it all.

Anyhow, I liked what I saw, for the first time in a long time I remember that CE magic. This game might just be the one to finally rival the game that started it all.

Aw, come on.. Halo 3 is an amazing package. I honestly believe that Reach will blow it away, as I already like certain aspects of the gameplay from the beta much more than Halo 3, but you can't deny that Halo 3 is the most comprehensive and complete Halo package to date. Hell, it's the best package for a MP shooter on consoles period. Between the epic content and even more ridiculous feature sets, it's simply unbeatable. I still wish they didn't go back on their promise of a custom games browser in H3 (and then deny the plans ever existed!), but it truly delivered! I'm a sorta casual Halo player anyway.. I know people played Halo 3 much more than me here, and had much bigger grievances with the game than I did too. That tends to happen with any game though. The more time you invest the more you notice its flaws.

I'm psyched for Reach. I think I'll probably play it more than any previous Halo game... I just think that Halo 3 was pretty great too.

Oh, and you know what's more important than space battles? FIREFIGHT! Please bungie, throw it into the mix!

I want the version of the Reach trailer that G4 keeps showing, the one that showcases the full gameplay demonstration. That's the awesome one that I want, not the weak one that's been released.

Nope, that isn't it. The one G4 keeps showing, and the one that was shown at the Microsoft Press Conference is not a compilation of the level, like that trailer that most sites have, it's a full on playthrough of the level with no skipping.

You hear dialogue from noble team, you hear noises from the various Covenant, you see everything. It's as if we ourselves are playing it. The trailer we are all seeing must be some theatre mode creation.

AFAIK, a Bungie employee batted away speculation of 6 player co-op saying 'campaign is 4 players' or words to that effect.

Whether that means the testing said it was best to keep it to 4 people, or 6 players is for firefight.... I don't know.

I agree more expanded Firefight in Reach will be very fun indeed. As for Halo 3 I agree the MP aspect of the game was probably the best on consoles, but the SP of halo 3 while fun, wasn't epic and amazing like in CE. I was talking about SP when talking about a game that might rival something as good as CE's experience.

But I think Reach just might take BOTH single player and multiplayer to a new level for the franchise. I hope so for Bungie's sake. They gave me so many great memories I really would like to see their last Halo game be their best as well.

If Firefight isn't in I'll be staggered. That network test game type in the beta was there for a reason.

I reckon they're aiming for six but might have to cut for 4-5 at the last minute depending on what they can technically get out of the engine/netcode and thus it won't be announced until they know for sure
