I discourage you from playing it. MP in COD4 is great, but the campaign is pure trash. Maybe MW2 will be better in that regard, but I doubt it.

That is a strange thing to tell someone...
Many, many people enjoyed the COD4 campaign thoroughly, myself included.

Eh, I loved the campaign in COD4. Short but very, very sweet.

I enjoyed it as well. If you can accept some old school design choices and enjoy "The Rock" style shooters that tell a number of intense stories it is fun. It isn't some benchmark of AI and you have to know how to get past AI drop zones (move forward 10 feet!) but outside of that I had fun because it had a lot of variety, good pacing, and IW does a good job of selling a story. It actually had a story, start to finish, that was told within the same game (gasp!) and had a proper ending even.

That's what made the campaign terrible. The AI is nonexistant and you don't know where is the point where enemies stop respawning until you reach it, which is just bullshit and not fun at all.

Discouraging someone from playing it is just silly though. Millions of people enjoyed the campaign and so maybe, just maybe, Grift will enjoy it too.

Hmmm what could it be??

Infinity Ward teases game changing surprise for MW2
Asked if Infinity Ward was planning a similar surprise for sequel Modern Warfare 2, Bowling said: "There are some huge surprises. What's awesome is, we've done all the press we've done so far, we've shown Cliffhanger, we've shown some Favela, we've set the tone of what Modern Warfare 2 is, and yet there is something we haven't talked about that, and the reason we haven't talked about it is because once you see it you completely forget everything we've already talked about. It becomes this whole new game. That's what I'm excited for."

"There are a lot of surprises. Some stuff we will never talk about till launch, and that's just because we want that… it's emotional stuff that we want to have that emotional response when you play, not read it in a magazine and then you're like, oh yeah I know about that."

The best mission in the entire game, in my opinion.

Aye it was the best, less shooting more awesome tension.

On a side note: I ordered the UK version of MW2 for just €48, after the cheap ODST I'm a happy gamer. :)

It's a very small German retailer, they almost always have the best prices, but they're only shipping to Germany/Austria. For any other country you'd have to ask about shipping.
