The reason why I play it at all is because I HAVE NOTHING ELSE to play right now. I blame everything on MW2 really. It's a god damn awful game in this state and it's the reason why there is no competition I could cater to. It single handedly ruined my whole holiday gaming season.
LOL. That's some grade A drama queen bullshit right there.
Just now I tried to get into a game with a friend and we didn't manage to have a single match together despite trying for at least an hour.
WTF? I don't even understand how this is possible. I consistently get into games with my friends with no problems whatsoever.

I think you folks are doing it wrong.

That has happened to me before actually. I think it has something to do with NAT. Me and one of my friends could not join a game together. One of us would always get booted back to the lobby. Was frustrating as hell.

Anyway, I'll stop here. I'd still like to know how two objective experiences of the same game can differ so much but I don't like where this is heading.

i guess it's like when you watch any old shit on TV becasue nothing else decent is on. a situation that you run into a lot with shitty daytime TV.

Jesus guys.. he couldn't find a game.. give him a damn break. It's his choice if he continues to want to punish himself by playing MW2. If you don't wanna listen to him cry about it, why not ignore it?

That's like, watching a shitty TV show for an hour and oh never mind. ;)

There are other games Viginti Tres. You don't need to play a holiday release to get your kicks. Come back to Call of Duty 4.

I actually wanted to play CoD 4 before we even tried MW2, but my friend gave away his copy. We even tried Gears 2 again but it just reminded me why I don't play Gears any more.

I broke another controller playin it today, was whacking the knife button pretty hard and it stopped working. Thankfully my last broken controller still "worked" so i was able to transplant the innards of it into the shell of the other for a completely working controller.

I really should try and control my anger....or just get rid of MW2.

The game would be brilliant if the stripped out...

- The entire Perk system
- The entire weapon unlock system
- The entire weapon upgrade system
- The entire kill streak system
- The shooting through walls (I'm sorry but pistols cannot shoot through concrete)

Then redesigned the map layouts and weapon damage to make them actually balanced.
What we have here is someone who hated the most popular online game this generation (CoD4) crying in the same glass of beer!

Vig, that explains a LOT, yesterday i had one game where there was always 2 enemy harriers and a UAV in the sky, i guess this is what they were using. I even looked at the scoreboard at the time and couldnt make out how they had that much in the air constantly.

Makes sense to me. If you don't have anything else to do or entertain yourself with, sometimes you're willing to sit through such situations.
Personally I bought this game as filler. I figured hey, this might be average (it might be great like the acclaimed COD4), but it will keep me busy till something else comes along. Sometimes you take that risk and do it for that reason when you like playing games enough.

It seems what we have here is a failure to commensurate. This game is so filled with glitches that any complaint you could throw at it would be valid. I haven't played it in since December because I got sick of all the shit wrong with it's online. Everytime they patch it another 3 glitches pop up. By the time the Game of the Year Edition is released, it'll have a bonus disc just for the patches. That's the state of affairs right now. Any personal opinions on the gameplay, mechanics or style are your personal preference. Anything that dampers your ability to be able to play those mechanics is valid.

It's supposed to be a team game and yet you get more points and get placed higher on the scoreboard if you go just for kills in an objective game. There is no sense of accomplishment at all, that's why no one uses stingers
To be fair, you get the equivalent in XP of 6 infantry kills for taking down a Harrier. Your contribution should, however, be more noted in placings on the post-game leaderboard.

No, your complaints are the same design choices with MW1. We get it, you the things you hate in MW2 are the same things that are in MW1. You have every right not to like it, but essentially my response was, "You hate the core of the game that MILLIONS love. We get it." You hate the core things to the most popular shooter this generation.

Taking out perks, upgrades, and shooting through walls is like saying, "The game would be great if it wasn't the same game."

The fact YOU bring in Halo 3 pretty much says it all: It isn't Halo 3, they need to make it more Halo, less CoD.
